With dry, irreverent humor and quirky illustrations, Jon Klassen’s unique picture books have captured the imagination of children and adults alike. His authorial debut I Want My Hat Back, a 2012 Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor Book, tells the story of a bear who has lost his hat and is determined to find it. In the companion title, 2013 Caldecott Medal winner This Is Not My Hat, a little fish steals a hat from a big fish. The little fish is sure he’ll get away with it, but trouble follows close behind . . . This kit features six simple, fun activities — including drawing activities, character cut-outs, and a crossword puzzle — that will allow children to engage with Klassen’s books both creatively and conceptually. So gather up your art supplies for an adventure with some of your favorite characters — and hold on to your hat!
