Fiscal Sponsorship The producers of KINYARWANDA are looking for partners to help defray the cost of completing a monumental undertaking in independent film. With the support of the Rwandese people and less than $350,000 primarily from a grant from the European Commission, we were able to shoot a film that captures the untold story of people who risked life and limb to save complete strangers during the Rwandan genocide. Although the film is not yet complete, we have been fortunate enough to be recognized by industry leaders IFP, Cinereach and the Sundance Film Festival. IFP selected us as one of only ten films to participate in their narrative incubation lab, Cinereach selected us as one of only eight films to receive their prestigious filmmaker grant and we will make our world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2011. In order to reach our expected completion date of December 2010, we need additional funding to successfully navigate post-production (editing, sound design, etc) and to ensure KINYARWANDA is given the best opportunity to make the difference that we know it can. Through Fractured Atlas, we have secured 501(c)(3) status where all donations are 100% tax-deductible. Your donations will allow us to finish the film without compromise and in return we can offer our eternal gratitude, signed promotional material, a copy of the DVD (upon release), a “Special thanks” in the credits of the film and where applicable, links from our website and Facebook Fan Page to your company.
