Cristina Ochinciuc, on 15th October 2015. from 10.30 to 13.30.The round table had as guests: Prof.Dr.Arch. Cristina Ochinciuc (Director – Doctoral Studies Department, UAUIM Bucharest), Prof.Dr.Arch. Daniela RadulescuAndronic (Synthesis of Architectural Design Dep., Fac.of Architecture, UAUIM Bucharest), Mentor Prof.Dr.Arch. Anca Hanna Derer (Architecture Theory and History Dep., Fac.of Architecture, UAUIM Bucharest), Prof.Dr.Arch.. Augustin Ioan (Architecture Theory and History Dep., Fac.of Architecture, UAUIM Bucharest),, Lect.Dr.Arch. Magdalena Stanculescu (Synthesis of Architectural Design Dep., Fac.of Architecture, UAUIM Bucharest), Researcher Dr.Arch.Eng. Maria Bostenaru Dan (Urbanism and Landscape Design Dep., Fac.of Urbanism, UAUIM Bucharest), Lect.Dr. Miroslav Tascu Stravre (Cultural Studies Dep., Fac.of Letters, University of Bucharest), Lect.Dr. Oana Preda (Cultural Studies Dep., Fac.of Letters, University of Bucharest), PM Arch. Cristian Banica (CSAC Bucharest), Assist.Dr.Cand.Arch. Anda Sfintes (Fac.of Architecture, UAUIM Bucharest) and several doctoral students invited through Doctoral Studies School UAUIM Bucharest. The beginning of the round table started with presentation with the same topic Applying notions, concepts, methods – instruments for an (architectural) cultural space. initiated by PI.Dr.Arch. Marina Mihaila. Marina Mihaila has presenting the her main frame of the postdoctoral projects, premises, the development program and her design for the postdoctoral research study (in six stages of investigation), followed by explaining the notions, concepts and methods approached in her studies, and explained how these could be used for understanding the diverse cultural spaces from cultural heritage, cultural landscape and routes, from European

Cultural Capitals (but also the new concept of Design Capital of Culture), and underlined the importance of observing the spontaneous spaces that enrich their presence inside worldwide culture growth. The PI, M. Mihaila underlined in her postdoctoral study the connections between her doctoral study and the postdoctoral one: the methodology ]working with/in[ and the notion of cultural space, the matrices of postdoctoral study developing the notions, concepts and methods, and the results and deliverables within the postdoctoral research (all, works of the PI Marina Mihaila): round tables, 9 articles, COST IS1007 approach. The discussions followed the Pi M. Mihaila’s postdoctoral presentation, and they underlined architectural-urban cultural Romanian actions, and dedicated Bucharest ones: (to be continued, below) -Lect.Dr.Arch Magdalena Stanculescu: the cultural applications, exercises and actions within the University of Architecture and Urbanism “Ion Mincu” Bucharest, together with the students – for public space activation (Str.Ed.Quinet, National Theatre Square, urban routes between Str.P.Verona and Cismigiu Park, etc.), the architectural research activity of colleague Lect.Dr.Arch.M.Stanculescu – from doctoral thesis on theatre architecture and several important published articles, and also the architecture project story of National Theatre Bucharest; -Assist.Dr.Cand.Arch. Anda Sfintes: the interactive surface of museum facades, as a cultural approach, connected to her doctoral study that will be public state on 20th October 2014; -Researcher Dr.Arch.Eng. Maria Bostenaru Dan: strategic action for Str.P.Verona Street Delivery workshop, creative debate and results for evaluating Bd.Magheru as a cultural axis to be developed; -several doctoral students from UAUIM Doctoral School presented their achievements, research projects and result of a sustainability study competition. Their names will be added on their request. The round table continued with free discussions between participants about main topics and future direction on architecture and interdisciplinary actions. Prof.Dr.Arch. Cristina Ochinciuc expressed the importance of considering cultural layers within the city and mentioned the present conformation of urban vision on Urban General Master Plan for Bucharest – PUG – in progress of design now. PI Marina Mihaila and all organisers kindly thank all participants for their presence, interventions and presentations.
