Homework: Homework will be assigned each day from the textbook. There will be 3 homework assignments each week, and they are due at the beginning of class on the next Tuesday. Make sure you have your name written on the front side of your assignment and staple it. A legible and well organized homework may help in obtaining a better homework grade. Late homework will not be accepted unless you have a strong reason and you have documentation to back it up. Start on the homework as soon as it is assigned. Discussing homework problems with others is welcomed and encouraged, however the work you submit must be your own. I will randomly select problems from the homework to grade (typically 2-5 problems per assignments) and they will be half of the points you earn for an assignment. You will earn the other half by putting a good effort on the entire assignment. Each set will be worth 20 points. I will drop your three lowest homework scores when calculating your final grade. Exams policy: Missed exams will be given a zero. However, if you know in advance that you are going to miss an exam you must talk to me before the exam in order to make arrangements and take it in the Disability Services and Testing Center. Students must

make an appointment to take those exams (Main Hall room 105). Unless arrangements have been made prior to the exam, there will be no make-up exam. The make-up test will be warranted only if the situation is completely out of the student’s control. Use of calculators and any other devices will not be allowed during exams. The final answer will count 1 point only out of the total possible points for a problem. The rest of the points go toward showing the work. A problem where the final answer is given without showing the work (if applicable) will score zero points. Class Grading Policy: Listed below are lower percentage cutoff points A
