Staff Changes Announced Elsie Coulter, an employee of the library for 43 years, has retired, and on behalf of library trustees, staff and patrons, we say congratulations, offer our gratitude for her many years of service and extend best wishes for a long and happy retirement. Mrs. Coulter began her library career in 1970 as a part-time clerk-typist in the Circulation Department. She later became a senior clerk and was promoted to Head of Circulation in 1995, spending the balance of her tenure at the library in this challenging public service position, where, among her many responsibilities, she was able to consistently resolve many patron issues that arise on a daily basis. Cathy-Ann Werner, a 20-year employee of the library, has been promoted to Head the Circulation Department. She began working at the library part-time in 1993 and went full-time in 1999. In 2005 she was certified as a Senior Clerk and has been working in Technical Services, where she has shown herself to be an effective manager, assisting the Children’s Department with budgeting and ordering and processing library materials. Congratulations!

In honor of Memorial Day, join us for a special screening of this poignant film. Honor Flight is a heartwarming documentary about four living World War II veterans and a Midwest community coming together to give them the trip of a lifetime. Volunteers race against the clock to fly thousands of WWII veterans to Washington, D.C. to see the memorial constructed for them in 2004, nearly 60 years after their epic struggle. The trips are called “Honor Flights” and for the veterans, who are in their late 80s and Library Director Joe Latini (right) and Assistant Director Janet Scherer (left) honor staff early 90s, it’s often the first time they’ve been thanked and members celebrating anniversaries this year (from left) P.J.
