Ingredient List

Cardstock: Real Red, Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White Ink Pads: Staz-On Jet Black, Old Olive, Real Red Stamp Sets: Holiday Line Up, Best Yet Accessories: Holiday Treasures Designer Series Paper (DSP), 1/4” White Grosgrain Ribbon, 1-1/4” Riding Hood Red/Very Vanilla Grosgrain Ribbon, 1-1/4” Circle Punch, 1-3/8” circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Key Tag Punch, 1/8” Circle Punch, Corner Rounder, Horizontal Slot Punch, Small Tag Punch, Paper Piercing Tool and Mat, Various Colors of Stampin’ Write Markers, Paper Cutter with Scoring Blade, Sticky Strip

Box Base Cut two pieces of cardstock to 8-3/4” x 6”. Score on all sides at 2”. Cut to the score line on both long sides and fold into a box. See pattern diagram.

Place Sticky Strip on corners as shown and assemble both boxes.

Place Sticky Strip on the long side of one box and stick the two boxes together.

The box needs stability for whatever weight you may put in it, so I reinforced the sides by stamping Holiday Lineup images and backing them on cardstock. Attach with Stick Strip to all 4 sides.

Center Divide Handle Cut two pieces of cardstock at 4-1/2” x 6-1/4”. For the handle, measure down from the top 1/2” and measure 1” in from each side. Mark with a pencil. See pattern diagram.

Insert the Key Tag Punch and punch a hole in the center. Finish off the length by moving the punch to the left and right until you have the desired width. Use Corner Rounder on the top two edges only

Place Sticky Strip on all four sides and under the handle. Place a piece about 1-3/4” from the bottom so that it will stick to the edge of the box. See next few pictures.

Start peeling the tape from the top. Sandwich the two pieces together until the handles are lined up straight.

Continue pulling the tape off slowly. Spread the two pieces apart, straddle them over the center of the two boxes and carefully line them up with the bottom of the box.

All the Sticky Strip is on one side only. Once you have it in place, you’ll need to add another piece to the other side and press it down firmly.

Milk Carton Boxes Cut four pieces of cardstock 8 ½” x 5 ½”. I used two colors for each. Score and cut on the lines indicated on the pattern diagram. Squish the top of the box together forming the milk carton shape. Place a small piece of Sticky Strip on the inside and the two outsides as shown.

DO NOT ASSEMBLE THE BOTTOM OF THE BOX

Cut four pieces of DSP 2-1/4” x 1” for carton toppers. Score at 1/2” or just fold in half. Adhesive with SNAIL and attach to the top of the cartons. Use the 1/8” circle punch to place two holes in the center. Thread about 12” of White Grosgrain ribbon through the holes and tie on the beautifully hand stamped matching medallions!! I used the 1-1/4” circle punch and a bit of the Holiday Lineup stamp, layered on 1-3/8” cardstock and again on the Scallop Circle punches in coordinating colors. I paper pierced the scallops. DO NOT ASSEMBLE THE BOTTOM OF THE BOX

Assembling the bottom of the boxes

Use the Horizontal Slot punch on the flap to the bottom of the box. It doesn’t matter which one, just NOT the sides. Center it and push it all the way forward as far as it will go.

Punch a small Tag Punch also from extra cardstock.

Place Sticky Strip on tag. Two lines and half way up only. Place on the inside of the flap as shown in the next picture. This is your closure so you can fill the boxes with goodies and the recipient does not have to tear the box open to get to them. Pretty cool, huh?? *Ü*

The secret trap door!!

Accessorize as desired on the handle and fill with fun stuff for a darling gift! On the Halloween one I made, I filled one of the boxes with spiders and candy in the rest. For Christmas, three of them will be filled with candy and one with a small gift. For Valentine’s Day…who knows?? ENJOY!!

Stamping Images

I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig for positioning the extra length of image.

Thank you!
