INTRODUCTION Teaching and Learning Guidebook is provided as a reference for teachers to generate ideas, plan and execute a variety of teaching and learning activities. This guidebook is also expected to help teachers to understand the requirements of the Content and English Language Learning Standards (Hearing Impaired) Year 4 which is organized in the form of parts and units which contain elements of knowledge, skills and values. Teaching and Learning Guidebook is organised in five modules: Listening & Speaking (Seeing and Signing), Reading (Signing), Writing, Language Arts and Grammar to help teachers plan the teaching and learning based on focus skills. In the teaching and learning, teachers can diversify approaches to achieve the requirements of the Content and Learning Standards. Strategies as well as teaching and learning activities in this booklet are only a suggestion. Teachers are encouraged to use their own creativity to modify activities to suit the preparedness and ability of the hearing impaired pupils.

- Each pupils decorate their own cupcakes (creativity) - Question and answers between teacher and pupils. a) Question: x Who like baking? x What do you like to do? x When do you do? x When do you do ……………? - Name and describe the hobbies (ICT, EK2). Question and answers on each hobby. - Guess the hobby: x A pupil is given a picture card and signs the hobby shown. The rest of the pupils pick out a picture card to match the sign shown. x Pupils play a game. Pupils are divided into two groups. Each group is given a set of picture and sign cards. Pupil
