Self Portrait Activity You are going to create a collage that will describe who you are, your likes, interests, strengths and weaknesses using a digital picture of yourself and images and words from magazines. Your self-portrait must include the following categories: A. Physical Traits (eye color, smile, distinguishing features, height, hair color, etc.) B. Personality Traits (hobbies, interests, favorite items) C. Sports/Activities (band, reading, music, etc.) The pictures will be used to fll in a generic body outline. Make sure you have enough to fll the body in. The words will be used to create the outline of a generic body.

Part One Directions: 1. Make a list of your physical traits, personality traits, and sports/activities. You will need to refer to this list as you look through the magazines. 2. Use the magazines to cut out pictures and words that describe you, your interests and your personality. Keep the three categories in mind as you look through the magazines.

Trim the digital photo of yourself and glue it on to the large paper. Create a generic body outline with a pencil or pen. Use the words you cut out to outline the generic body outline. Fill in the body with the pictures you cut out.

Part Three Directions: (Sensory Images) 1. Draw an arrow to each of the body parts listed below and write a sentence that answers the prompt. A. Eyes – A vision or goal you have for the future (“Someday, I would like to be married.”) B. Mouth – Words or phrases that describe you physically. (“I am short with brown hair and brown eyes”.) C. Arm – A strength you have. (“I am very organized.”) D. Body – Physical activities you enjoy (“I like to run, lift weights, and hike.”) E. Hand – Academic Goal (“This year, I would like to get all A's.” F. Heel – A weakness you have (“Sometimes, I can be very stubborn.”)
