General

Select a flight path as far as possible from noise sensitive areas; otherwise, fly alongside the noisiest land routes (highways, railways, industrial parks)

2

Fly no lower than 1,000 feet AGL, if possible. Fly on the downwind side of noise sensitive areas, if possible. Maintain steady flight avoiding large pedal movements. Fly with the noise sensitive areas on the right hand side of the helicopter. Ground Operations

Avoid unnecessary hovering. Avoid quick and repetitive pedal movements. Use right pedal turns over left when possible.

Hover Hover-Taxi Ground-Taxi

Avoid unnecessary hovering. Avoid quick and repetitive pedal movements. Use right pedal turns over left when possible.

Takeoff and Climb

After the shortest acceleration feasible, climb at Vy using maximum continuous power. Avoid flight over noise sensitive areas.

Enroute and Cruise Flyover

Fly no lower than 1,000 feet AGL, if possible. Fly at 110 KIAS for OAT of +25°C. Increase IAS slightly if OAT is increasing and decrease IAS slightly if OAT is decreasing.

Turns Descent/ Approach and Landing

When possible, fly at the highest practical altitude over noise sensitive areas. No available information. Using an approach speed of 60KIAS, descend at a rate of descent close to 1,000 feet per minute. Avoid flight over noise sensitive areas.
