Intel Malaysia Our humble beginning… Intel Malaysia 1st Building

Started with 100 employees

1st Intel Offshore Site in 1972

Intel Malaysia: Intel's first offshore site. Currently, the largest offshore site

The largest assembly and test facility supporting a broad product range such as microprocessors, chipsets, network processors, microcontrollers and motherboards. More than 10,000 employees across two campuses located in Penang and Kulim Over the years, Malaysia has moved up the value chain into a site with multifunctions in manufacturing, design & development, and local & global support services. Entrusted with R&D responsibility for microprocessor product packaging and process development responsibility. Asia Pacific region post sales support operation and sophisticated failure analysis and repair center.

TECHNOLOGY: Brea kthrough solution is elimination of chemically treated water by i ntroducing pulse powered time va rying ultra l ow frequency (ULF) el ectro-magnetic field technology integrated with Metal Oxi de (MOx). Synergy effect from this technology a ble to treat the water using el ectromagnetic wave a nd precipitates water hardness to soft s cale a nd enables de-scaling effect.

ADVANTAGES: • Energy saving due to de-scaling effect at chiller condenser tubes which contributes cost saving of ~USD50k / year. • Total chemical elimination & city water consumption reduction which promotes Go Green concept and Safe environment to work.

Water Efficiency Flushing Tank Water Conservation & Faucet Implementation Previ ous Water Level

New Wa ter Level

Before 17 Liters after improvement 11 liters (35% reduction) with average estimating we saved ~365k gallons of water a year.

Faucet from 6 litter per minute to 2 litter per minute (60%) improvement total change 52 units average saving ~1 gallons a year.
