Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) is required by law to give you this privacy notice to explain how we collect, use and safeguard your personal information. LMCU pledges to provide you with competitive products and services that meet your financial needs and to help you reach your financial goals, which necessitates that we share your information with our affiliated third party financial service providers, who provide financial, insurance and leasing services.
Lake Michigan Credit Union is providing this notice to its customers. Federal law gives you the right to limit some but not all marketing from our affiliates. Federal law also requires us to give you this notice to tell you about your choice to limit marketing from our affiliates.
In order to assist you in meeting your financial needs and goals we have entered into agreements with other companies that provide either services to us or additional financial products for you to consider. Under these arrangements, we may disclose all of the information we collect, as described below, to other companies that perform marketing or other services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements. To protect our members’ privacy, we only work with companies that agree to maintain strong confidentiality protections and limit the use of information we provide. However, you may limit our affiliates from marketing their products or services to you based on your personal information that we collect and share with them. This information includes, but is not limited to, your income, your account history with us, and your credit score.
