Welcome Note
Dear Colleagues It is a privilege and honour to invite you to the 1st International Video Symposium (IVS) in Plastic Surgery at Hamburg Airport organised and hosted by the German-Turkish Plastic Surgery Association (GTPSA). The convention will be held in conjunction with the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) and under the patronage of the German Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (DGPRÄC) and the Association of German Aesthetic-Plastic Surgeons (VDÄPC). During the congress we will offer you video sessions with solid presentations of leading experts. These highly edited Interactive Videos will place the audience in the operating room. With this concept we focus on interactive interchange between faculty, hosts and audience. The programme is designed to stimulate debate on choices, explore controversies, and challenge established and new techniques. The video presentations deliver the education needed to ensure that we stay at the top of our craft, improve patient safety, and enhance our practices. The Scientific Committee has planned a comprehensive schedule to provide you with an overview of the latest advancements, breakthroughs and novelties in the field of plastic and aesthetic surgery. During the course national and world renowned experts will share their experience with us. Our dear friends Nazim Çerkes (Education Council of ISAPS) and Nuri Çelik have assembled a superb faculty from all over the world. Our sponsors have come on board with a highly professional exhibition of valuable companies. The scientific programme will include all aspects of plastic and aesthetic surgery focusing on mamma, face, body and hand surgery.

Hamburg was declared a World Heritage site by the UNESCO and has a reputation as being the “gate to the world”. It offers arts and culture at its finest, excellent restaurants, superior and entertaining theatre, exquisite shopping facilities, exciting night life and many historical landmarks due to its 1,200 year old historical background. Everybody who has visited Hamburg is enthusiastic about its flair and maritime charms. Whether the lake Alster, the Elbe river, the ancient storehouse city, fish market or “Reeperbahn” – something new can be experienced every day. We are looking forward to meet you in Hamburg, a wonderful place to visit and discover. Be assured that this course will be a most memorable event both scientifically and socially. With best regards
