Bessie’s ... Continued from Page 4 Many readers find out a lot about the businesses by reading their ads in CS&N and it's true with Bessie's. "Some come for the view, but all come back for the food!" This was the perfect headline after meeting Dawn and Dylan and sampling some of their delicious food. Burgers, fries, crab cakes, shrimp, nachos and more are served up hot (cooked to order) with just the right flavors.

Daw n and Dylan, your Mot her-Daughter w ho leads t he Bessie’s team.

Dylan and Miss Bessie.

And, they keep it simple — just order and pay at the counter — then relax inside or on the porch with your beverage while they prepare and then served at your table. The ingredients, local when in season, make a big difference in the final dishes. Believe me when I say that Dylan and Dawn are two of the hardest working ladies in Camden County! Another favorite is the hand dipped Blue Bunny ice cream counter where they scoop up everything from cones, to splits! Many have asked the same question — if the owner's names are Dylan and Dawn — why is the name of the restaurant Bessie's? Dylan explained she was the caretaker for many years of 90+ year old "Miss Bessie" and she honored her with the name. Dylan smiles when she talks about Miss Bessie! Bessie’s is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11am until 8pm and Sundays from 11am until 4pm. Call ahead and order at 912-439-3232. Oh my goodness, your tummy will be glad!
