Quiz contest for CA students Day and Date of contest: Sunday, 22nd July, 2012 at ICAI Bhawan, Sect-14, Udaipur Time 10.30 AM to 4.30 PM Eligibility for students to participate Students registered with ICAI for Final Course (under the old/new scheme), PCC or IPCC and falling within jurisdiction of Udaipur branch are eligible to participate in the contest. A student who has qualified in the final examination and completed article/audit training is not eligible to participate in the contest. Features of contest Interested students may enroll their team of 2 members in advance by submitting the form to branch office (forms are available at the branch office). Both the members should be individually eligible to contest as per the criteria mentioned above. The questions will be asked on Accountancy, Auditing, Corporate Laws, Taxation- Direct & Indirect, Costing/ Management Accounting/ Financial Management, Information Technology, Economics & General awareness. Three questions will be asked to each team in each round and time for answering the question will be 45 seconds. In each round, the question will be addressed turn by turn to each team. The number of rounds will depend upon the number of teams participating. If team A answers the question 1 correctly, then 2nd question will addressed to team B, If Team A does not answer the question 1 correctly, the question will be pass on to Team B. A question will pass only once and no subsequent passing will be allowed. Similarly question number 3 will be addressed to team C and so on. Each question shall carry 5 marks, whereas 2 marks shall be awarded for passed question. Top five teams shall be selected on the basis of their score, for the rapid fire round in which 5-8 questions will be addressed to each team. Each team will be given 2 minutes to answer all the questions. Participants may choose NO ANSWER option to save the time. Top three scored teams will be selected as winner of the contest. Award / Prizes The First prize winner team will be allowed to participate in the Regional level contest and further Regional level winners are entitled to participate in the All India contest. The winner team travelling to further participation will be reimbursed To and Fro 2 Tier AC railway fare or by Air (which ever is lower from shortest route) and Rs. 1,500/- per day to meet the lodging and boarding expenses. In addition to abovementioned, The Udaipur branch offers following prizes to winner teams: 1. First prize : Cash of Rs. 3501/2. Second Prize : Cash of Rs. 2501/3. Third Prize : Cash of Rs.1501/Certificate of participation will be given to every participant. Invitation: All the participants are requested to join for lunch at 1.30 PM. Terms and condition 1. Interested students may collect the registration form from the branch and submit before the 18th July, 2012. 2. The decision of the judges regarding the allocation of the marks will be final and no arguments will be allowed during the currency of the contest. 3. The Judges may debar any of the participants on their observation regarding the indiscipline. 4. The participants must reach to venue i.e. ICAI Bhawan, G-Block, Sector-14, Hiran Magri, Udaipur at least 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the contest. 5. The eligible students must provide the copy of the registration with ICAI. 6. The result will be announced within 30 minutes from the end of contest.
