Rubber band stuffing into head
Ever wanted to make a rag doll with all your left over scraps of cloth or old clothing? Well this guide is for you. Recently, I was at the Michigan Art Education Fall Conference and attended this great session on making rag dolls without any sewing. The steps are easy and the results are fun! First you will need to collect any old scraps of cloth, or if you feel the need; purchase new fabric for your doll.
Supplies to make the dolls First you will need to collect any old scraps of cloth, or if you feel the need; purchase new fabric.
Take a rubber band and wrap it around the fabric folded over the fabric.

Materials needed: 2-5 rubber bands per doll. Fabric Hot Glue Gun/Hot Glue Yarn/Ribbon Stuffing Permanent Markers
Split the bottom into two sections and placed rolled fabric underneath. Fold two sections back together sandwiching the arms. Rubber band the folded section into place.
Cut hole for head and arms
Main pieces for the body
The larger your fabric the larger your doll. The small rectangle is rolled into the arms. The large rectangle fabric is folded over the stuffing.
Fold fabric into half and then cut three small holes at the folded section; one for the head and two for the arms.

Glue yarn to the head with hot glue. Have an adult help with gluing the yarn to the head. Caution: may cause burns when in contact with skin. Draw the face with permanent markers.
Make many dolls and play
Take yarn and group into sections. Take an additional piece of yarn and tie a knot around the section.
Create many dolls and play with them or give them away. Page 4
