Good morning SMS Parents and Teachers: Thank you all so much for attending the PTS meeting last night, it was a great first turnout. The officers would like to apologize for the meeting lasting so long – usually our meetings only last 1 hour. The first meeting of the year is always a little longer because we have a lot to go over so thank you for your patience. Just to Recap Last Night on the fundraising events happening now and possible future fundraising events: August 24th: Golf Scramble at Houston Oaks Golf Course. Chair is Megan Mattox For those interested in sponsoring a hole or registering a team that day, please contact the school or Megan at
[email protected] or text her at 859-340-0310 She still needs pop and/or Gatorade, please donate if you can by dropping these items off at the school today or tomorrow. Also if you are interested in helping the day of the event, please let Megan know.
August 25th: SMS 125th Anniversary Student Led Mass, Brunch and School Tour School is celebrating its anniversary this weekend. There will be a student-led Mass at 10:30. Everyone is welcome. Students are asked to wear uniforms. Mass will be followed by a brunch catered by the Holy Name Society with a suggested donation of $5/adult, and $3/child. Campus will be open for tours following the brunch. SMS wine bottles will be for sale, as well as cookbooks, both for $15/each.
Innisbrook: Chair: Leslie Lundy This is a catalog and online ordering fundraiser. Catalogs will be sent home with your child on 08/29. This fundraiser will continue thru Sept. 20th. After your child brings home the catalog and if you have any questions at all about this fundraiser, please contact Leslie Lundy at

FUTURE FUNDRAISERS TO DISCUSS NEXT MEETING: Sonic Nite: Chair: Ms. Arnold This will probably be held in September. She will let us know dates soon. Pericos Nite: Jose Lucero was willing to do this, just need to get a date. Touch A Truck: Laura Jackson, Branson Eubanks and April Scoff has volunteered to chair and will be looking into when this can be done and where. Vendor Fair: This will be in November. Garbage Bag Fundraiser: Need to decide at next meeting if we are going to do this and who will chair it. Gold Party : Please let your PTS officers or Tiffany Bezeau know whether you are interested in attending a Gold Party so she will know if there is enough interest to schedule one.
FUNDRAISING IDEAS THAT WERE GIVEN – NEED TO BE DISCUSSED FURTHER Antiques Roadshow Barn Dance with concessions Kids Haunted House Possible 5K in Spring Great Ideas from everyone last night – please be thinking of more fundraising ideas for our school this semester. If you have a possible idea please let the PTS officers know via email or at the next meeting which is scheduled for Wednesday, September 11 at 6:30 in the Parish Hall.
