Successful Mitigation of Workplace Violence Against Emergency Department Nurses: What Hospitals are Doing to Accelerate Success Will you help?

Ideal Participant Profile:



Multidisciplinary hospital leaders who influence the strategies, policies and actions related to the successful prevention/mitigation of workplace violence in the emergency department. PLEASE REFER: Anyone you know who fits the profile above and/or these job functions: CEO, Chief Nursing Officer, Security Director, Emergency Medicine Director/Physician Behavioral Health Leader, Patient Safety Officer, Nurse Scientist/Researcher, Nurse Manager/Administrator, Workplace Safety Team Lead, etc.



Time Involvement: 65 minutes by phone

The purpose of the research study is to explore and understand the successful strategies, policies, and actions that hospital leaders use or plan to use to sustainably mitigate workplace violence against Emergency Department (ED) nurses, both now and in the future.



Participants will be invited to participate in a 3-minute pre-interview online demographic survey, as well as a 55-minute phone interview regarding knowledge of positive progress made by your hospital in the area of Workplace Violence mitigation in the ED. All identifying information is kept confidential.
