My career in three sentences I have written three books: Craze: Gin and Debauchery in an Age of Reason, The Incendiary (short-listed for the Governor General’s Award), and All or Nothing: A Short History of Abstinence in America. I have also written for Playboy, BBC History, the Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail, and History Today (among others).
