After investigation, it has been concluded that the article has an unacceptable degree of overlap with a paper published previously in the Journal of Dynamical and Control Systems, Optimality Conditions for Infinite Order Hyperbolic Differential Systems (2006) 12, 313–330, by H. A. El Saify. One of the criteria for submitting to the IMA Journal of Mathematical Control and Information is that the paper should not have been previously published, or be under consideration in another journal. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this causes to readers of our journal.
