ome and go with Me to Alabama. For I shall make the state a beautiful way. I shall raise her up, and the wind of God shall blow upon her and through her and the many shall come from many places just to see what God shall do. For Alabama shall change in the power of this day. Alabama, know ye this, that even now, beginning now, the winds of God that blow upon thee shall be the power of God that sets many free. For I the Lord, shall run through you, run with My power, run with My joy and run with strength and bring people out. And they shall come out in the strength and witness of My glory and the blessing and fire of my Spirit. It shall spread and cause many to walk in the Spirit. They will say what they couldn’t say before. Do what they couldn’t do before and they shall be naturally supernatural and work the works of the impossible and turn the heads of the children of men. Listen to Me, keep your eyes on Alabama. For I say she shall be one that will make the news and many shall come far and wide and they shall come in cars and planes and trains to see what God is doing. I say she shall be as a banjo upon My knee and I will play a song in he that shall reach around the world. Come and go with Me and see Alabama set men free.

“The Remnant will travel anywhere in the world to witness and write about a supernatural work of God.”

hen we first started this newspaper in 1993, we never thought that we would be part of a great revival. Our goal was to show the supernatural that was being hidden by “religious” people. This newspaper was based on the supernatural experience of the Pastor of the Brownsville Revival and so, two years before that event happened, we were the first to write John Kilpatrick’s supernatural testimony, because I had a desire to see angels and hear God’s voice. When you read a supernatural testimony, you quietly understand that you also can walk through that same door. Once you have experienced the supernatural of God, then you cannot go back, for you develop a neverending, unceasing desire and hunger to experience the supernatural. I, myself, came to Pentecost the hard way with my Baptism in the Holy Spirit coming indirectly through the Roman Catholic Church. It is a fact that many people in the Pentecost movement who I have watched over the years, have their roots in the Roman Church while those who are members of the third generation of Pentecostals are usually the ones who are trying to stop the move of God. Although my good friend Bill Johnson in Redding, California comes from a third generation of Pentecostals, he acknowledges that when revival happens it “ comes from a fatherless generation.” In Bill Johnson’s case, however, we have seen the supernatural in his church in Redding - the supernatural power of God. But I want to let you know about the time when I was an early believer and spoke in tongues for the first time. It was in the Fall of 1977 that I received the Baptism in the Holy Ghost. My Pentecost cleaned up my life for I was a young, single man, and although I was living as a Christian, I had problems with the flesh. But God was after my purity and He had separated me for a greater work that I could ever have imagined. It was God who saved me from myself! But in the latter part of 1977, I was at

the lowest stage of my young life. My father had just died and I was wounded from the break up of an engagement with the woman that I thought I would marry. I was devastated! I felt I couldn’t cope with life. But God was about to

the speaking in tongues. So I used the Gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts as the physical under-

Holy Ghost Baptism, It has to be taught By Editor Jerrell Miller deal with the problems of my flesh as a single man in a very real way. And I learned that when God has a destiny in your life, you will either get it right, or He will move in to clean your house. God was about to deal with me because he wanted me Holy. So it was about this time, that I began to feel the call of God in my life. In fact, God gave me a very specific word: “He sent His Word and healed them.” and that’s when I knew that God was actually going to send His Word into my life and heal me. So I started attending a Bible study at a local Charismatic fellowship and began to ask the people there what Scripture they would use to witness for the Baptism in the Holy Ghost. Although most of these people spoke in tongues, their knowlege of the word was very poor and they couldn’t relate to how they received the Holy Spirit, indeed, had no real knowledge on the subject. So, for the next three months, I poured myself into scripture to study the subject, just as Charles Parham had done 70 years before, in 1906, in Topeka, Kansas. I sketched out an outline for a tract on the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and in that little tract, I wrote that the Baptism in the Spirit is accompanied by the speaking in tongues and it was absolutely important for the reader to understand that Jesus himself never Baptized anyone in water. The water had to be separated from

Rev. Jerrell H. Miller standing of the experience because many people do not know that these two books of Scripture are actually one book. And Luke was absolutely important to this tract because he described the experience in the third person and gave the physical description of what was happening. In short, he was writing the experience as he saw the event actually happening. In Scripture it was described to him by the people who were there to witness the event. In Acts 2, Acts 10 and Acts 19, you see believers receiving the Baptism and the evidence of the tonges in the experience. My friends, the Baptism in the Holy Ghost is more than an emotional experience. It has to be taught in a logical way before the emotion of the experience is added. The thrill of Pentecost is know that there is a supernatural. But one large Pentecostal organization that I know of, only has 10 percent of its people in that Baptism in the Holy Ghost. I have been to these churches and watched people try to minister the Baptism in the Holy Ghost with devastating results. It was one big ball of confusion with no understanding. These churches have failed to plan for our present time, and now their foundational beliefs are

Page 2 falling apart because the initial beliefs that established them has been substituted by a gospel that doesn’t speak of the supernatural as it once did. Charismatics went absolutely crazy when the experience happened to them as Catholics, Episcopalians, Presbyterians and Baptists in the early part of this century. But when they faced persecution and actual removal from these denominations and churches, they eventually came togehter in the Faith Movement Churches. But back to my little tract: I remember the day that I went to the printer to pick up the first tract on ‘The Baptism In The Holy Ghost’. At the time, I was fellowshipping at Word of Life Fellowship on Dauphin Island Parkway, so I showed my little pamphlet to Pastor Tim Dodge. He immediately took me down a hallway to meet a young man who was praying to God to receive the Baptism in the Holy Ghost. As I read from the tract and taught this young Baptist man about the Holy Ghost, the Pastor and I layed hands upon him and he immediately spoke in the unknown tongue. Hallelelujah! We are now in the process of having that intiital work reprinted because we feel that it is absolutely important for the body of Christ to understand. Brownsville was a supernatural revival, but the greatest Revival is ahead of us. If you don’t understand the supernatural, then you won’t come to the place of understanding the next move of God. The next move of God will involve the supernatural and will once again reach a ‘fatherless generation’; it will reach our children who have been ‘turned off’ by religion and want to see a real God. 1Corinthians.13:1-13.

By Jerrell Miller Editor & Publisher ARSHFIELD, MIS SOURI -- It happened so quickly that it caught everyone by surprise. At 47 years old, Roger Hicks died in a sudden accident. An aluminium pole he was working on touched a power line on August 3rd of this year and he died instantly with no chance of being revived. Pastor Hicks was a simple Baptist Minister who went against all odds and birthed his church into Pentecost. On March 1, 1998, a business meeting was held to decide the future of the church and the fate of Pastor Roger Hicks. It was a time when the power of God touched those who wanted it and drove away those who didn’t want it. So when the congregation voted on the fate of the Pastor, 174 voted for him and 123 voted against him. That vote launched a full-scale Pentecostal Revival in a Southern Baptist Church close to Springfield, Missouri. The local Baptist Association in town expelled the church from its Association, but the Southern Baptist Convention never did. The Convention had been through these disputes before and had learned to let the people set the direction of the church; but from that moment on, the power of God flowed in that Church. When The Remnant was at the church in 1999, we witnessed the power of God. The most unique thing about the entire church was the powerful move of intercessory prayer among the teenagers. And, although the members are no longer teenagers today, the concrete foundation for revival was built in their prayer meetings. So it happened that in the year 1998, Evangelist Wayne Neal came to the church to preach revival; he was welcomed because he was an experienced Assembly of God evangelist that had been touched deeply by the Brownsville Revival. At the same time, the power of God was falling on a small independent work in Smithton, Missouri. Missouri was being touched by the Angel of Revivval! There was a creative part of the church that sought to reach new

M

levels past the first two years of Revival. Several members of the congregation began to understand the powerful prophetic word that was being birthed through intercessory prayer led by the Pastor who became an advanced oracle in his own right. Calvary Baptist Church invited him to share his miracle at their church and it was much like the early sixties of the Charismatic Movement but with the River Move of

around the church the night we were there, we saw big yellow school buses and church vans with

van of cars traveling to Rogers farm. You knew you were in the mid-west as we walked into the house of people who worked the fields. It was a place where the harvest was brought in every Fall, but this Missouri farmer was producing a crop of souls that came during open days of Revival. This crop was planted by prayer and harvested by Revival. They asked for God to move and God did not dis-

Roger Hicks 1957 to 2004 Pastor Roger and Sarah Hicks of the Four Rivers Chruch (Formerly Calvary Baptist Church) When The Remnant was at the church in 1999 we saw the power of God. The most unique thing about the entire church was the powerful move of intercessory prayer among the teenagers. Many of those people are no longer teenagers today but the concrete foundation for revival was built in their prayer meetings. At that time Evangelist Wayne Neal came to the church to preach revival, in 1998 Neal was welcomed because he was an experienced Assembly of God evangelist that had been touched deeply by revival at the Brownsville Revival.

God added to it. You see one thing that the early Charismatic Movement didn’t have was the deeper presence of God that was later being experienced in Toronto and Brownsville. God was doing a new thing and the excitement at the little Baptist Church was blowing the doors off Christianity in America. When you visited the church in the early days, you knew God was in the house and the excitement was electric from service to service. God had given a powerful measure of the Spirit to a group of people who knew nothing about it. And it’s in this way, that most of the new moves of God come to those who are seeking. This church was for real and in the early days, the power flowed in a cataclysmic way. Walking

names on the sides like ‘the United Methodist Church’, ‘ South Baptist Church’ and ‘Assembly of God’. The Calvary Baptist Church (now Four Rivers Church) during these early days began to be the neutral ground of the Holy Ghost with religion removed. When you looked at the license plates, you would see Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and many other states where word had spread about the fire at the Baptist Church in Missouri. This wasn’t strange fire, it was REAL fire. Wayne Neal said, “I could prepare a sermon to preach here and never get to it for five days because of the awesome roiling presence of God in this bulding”. That’s what brought people from all over the area. After service, I remember the cara-

appoint them. The Almighty allowed the move to happen at this Baptist Church because he saw a man that had a greater vision than the entire Baptist denomination. Roger was going to do what God asked him to do and wasn’t going to listen to church doctrine and dogma on this matter. His experience outgrew the tenets of the Baptist Church. Healings, deliverance and salvation flowed off the altars every night. You didn’t need an altar call at this church because those who came could hear the voice of God in the conviction of his Almight presence. They got right because they felt the need to change. Repent means to go the other way. This Pastor was going the other way and visitors who were in sin found themselves going that way too.

My House A place of His Presence!

Page 3 His death was a tragic blow to those who went through those early dayswith him. He had a vision as big as his heart. He wanted what was best for his people and never counted the cost. He went as deep as a Baptist Pastor could go in his new expression. It’s not easy to go somewhere if you’ve never been there, but Roger knew the way and that’s the way he took his people. The funeral date was set on Friday, August 6, 2004, and a there was a tremendous show of support from the many people who had arrived at the church early. Gayle Cameron, a member of the church said, “I got there at 9 a.m. and found the doors had to be opened at 8:30 a.m. The sancturary had filled in 5 minutes - even though it’s not that large a sancturary. I was directed to the fellowship hall where the overflow was sent, and the overflow was now reaching capacity. There was a big screen there, but the sound was bad and the camera view was even worse. You couldn’t tell who was speaking because they all looked like tiny blurbs on the huge screen. Every man is unique in their own walk and Roger was memorable for his walk with the Lord. Roger’s work was not of a kind that left a great building behind as a monument to his memory; his work was an eternal work. Roger’s memory is poured into other people and lives through them. There will be other Rogers in the Southern Baptist Convention, but he will serve as a role model for them. While the men and women of the Black Baptist Churches have accepted Pentecost, the future will see more people come forward in that denomination to plant the seed of desire for the Supernatural. Roger, if we could see you now, we would want for no more for your new vision has revealed not just God’s presence, but His wonderful face. We are sad that you are gone, but we rejoice for your transition to Glory. We love you and admire you for your courage, and now we say good-bye to a true friend of God the Almighty.

By Diana Millasovich AIRHOPE, ALABAMA; During the spring of this year, this author saw Reverend John Kilpatrick preach at the Famly Ministry center in Fairhope, Alabama. In his message, he spoke about ‘change’ and about the ‘extraordinary’......and this is, in part, what he said: In Hebrews 10:9, “Then he said, Behold, I have come to do your will O God. Genesis 1:5; Then He called the light, Day and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day. Evening is the beginning of the day - we usually think that morning is the beginning of the day, but since the day begins with the evening, half of the night is already over and in the darkest hour we should be rejoicing as it is already becoming dawn. When it’s the darkest, we come to the light. Brother Kilpatrick stated that “we like the old and comfortable, but God is plowing it all under and in a few years, we will not even recognize the church, it will have changed so

But new wine must be put into new wineskins and both are preserved. And it happened after a while that the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land.” “This,” Kilpatrick stated shows “that God will take away something to give you something better. It would NOW spring forth, so do not consider the things of old!” Acts 19:11-12 Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. After Brother Kilpatrick preached his sermon at the Family Ministries Center, there was a time of prayer. With in thethe long handle of the Big Dipper night sky pointing steadfastly to the North Star and Freedom, escaping slaves traveled at night, eagerly searched for the obscure signs that marked the track of the Underground Railroad. Running from bondage on the vast plantations of the Deep South, they found rest and food in Virginia, when they reached the Quaker Village of Goose Creek and then waited furtively for a Quaker farmer to guide them to the River crossings. Even today, as you travel through the re-named villlage of Lincoln, you can

ing Farm Bed and Breakfast and ‘Freedom’ was the message in my word. For this is still the message that works on the hearts of men and sets them free from the bondage of sin. It is more than a hundred and forty years since the Civil War, and although the 640,000 men who died in that conflict never found a brotherly message of love, a new freedom of Pentecost would manifest itself in new places of battle called Purcellville, Warrenton and Berryville during the four times I ministered to this area of Northern Virginia. Obedience to the Word of God will always open a door that has not been traveled through. It was in my local church on a Sunday morning, that the Spirit of God directed me to I Kings 13. In that piece of scripture, we find a prophet of God at odds with Jeroboam, a ruling King of Judah. We also see the Glory of Drinking Gourd Continued on Page 11

It was strange that Josiah was called into existence by God, 300 years before he was born, but the birth of this king was a warning of what was about to happen. As the prophet turned his voice toward the existing King, the control of a sinful king would try to stop him, “Thus saith the Lord, but the word would be brought forth to warn the king of his ungodly ways. Jereboam was the first of the divided kings of Israel and Judeah.

Prophetic-Evangelist Jerrell Miller has made four trips to Virginia and has witness each time grow a little stronger. Millerr feals that this historic area is very close to a full measure of the Spirit of God in Holy Ghost revival. (Remnant photograyphy)

Rev. Danny Buker

M

OBILE ALABAMA; Early in the days of my ministry, there were many of us who had a call on our lives when we were at the Oak Park Church of God. Pastor Sam Luke, Jr. used to let those who had a call to preach, speak before the main service. At the time, there was Glenn Barnhill, Danny Buker, Ruben Ganor and Jerrell Miller. Each person had their turn to preach on a rotating basis. This year, on August 3rd, Danny Buker died at a local hospital under extenuating circumstances. Danny was a man after God’s own heart; the one enduring quality of this man was to seek the face of God. Danny directed the Ministry of Prayer at the Oak Park Church of God during the time of Dr. Sam Luke’s pastorate, and God moved through Danny time after time when he spoke the word of prayer over desperate situations. Truly, God put his purpose in this man’s heart. When we first started our visitation program at the Oak Park Church of God, Danny was there leading our group in prayer. During times when there was a funeral at the church and at times when the Pastor left the church, Danny would go to the pulpit to preach on the word of God. We watched over him

and his family because our families were close. At the time when we first started this newspaper, we were led to take a man in our church who was battling cancer to a Benny Hinn Crusade in New Orleans. We were sitting in the wheelchair section when we saw Danny walking toward the altar, carrying his newborn grandson in his arms. The doctors had told his father, Cliff Buker, that the child he would never do many of the normal things that a child could do, and it was this prognosis that stirred Danny to take the young baby to the Benny Hinn meeting. It was there that the child was touched by the power of God, and the Lord God Almighty brought this child a long way because of the

prayers of this man of God, his grandfather, Danny Buker. He first came to the Oak Park Church of God to physically do harm to the preacher because he thought his wife was going crazy; she was speaking in tongues! As he stood before the man of God to do harm to him, the power of God fell on Danny and he was saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. And this was the man that Pastor Sam Luke, Jr. asked to become the prayer minister of the church. Danny came from where many of us came from. We all didn’t have a heritage of Pentecost, but when we received it , we began to be changed and to dream because of the Supernatural that we had all experienced.

Danny was a dreamer who never stopped dreaming. He and Sylvia lived in Springfield, Illinois where they lost a child early in their marriage, and at Oak Park High School, I had the pirviledge of teaching DAnny and Sylvia’s children. God has used this family to bless our family on so many occasions: for instance, when we started the witness magazine at Oak Park Church of God, it was Danny Buker who encouraged us; and it was his prayer group at the church who called forth the Glory of God on Sunday night and during the week. Please remember Sylvia and her family in these weeks of their loss. We truly loved Danny and we will all miss him greatly.

God Gave A Song To His Chosen People By Jerrell Miller/Editor URLEY, MISSIS SIPPI: It was a great day at the House of Praise in Hurley, Misissippi where Pastor William Handcock is the Pastor-Worship leader. This church has a Revival River Spirit that blesses those who attend it. Glory remains around this church because of the awesome music sung and played here - music that is written by Pastor Handcock. You see, Pastor William used to be the Worship leader in the church, but when the last pastor left, he was asked to take over the church as its Pastor. On August 8th, he spoke a sure word out of Deuteronomy to his congregation. His word was about

the Song of Moses and how that song would be the song that the children of God would remember during all the good times and the bad times of their life. For in Deuteronomy 32:5 it says,

would require them to sing the song in rememberance of the place where they had come from. Through the good and the bad times of the Jewish people they still needed to remember to sing

It might as wll be called House of Worship Church, one visit to the place and you’ll know that these people have went beyond praise and are deeply into the presence of God, and my friend that is not praise, that is worship. “They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.” For this was the time when they would be entering the Promised Land and yet God knew how they would behave in the future. Pastor William said that the Lord

the song. The Pastor of the House of Praise in Hurley said, “Isn’t it strange that when they were doing wrong they still were ordered to sing the Song of Moses?” He went on to say that “we are like those children. We are to remember God with song during the good times and the bad times of

our lives.” The revelation that was being taught by the Pastor is a product of the atmosphere in which it is taught. The House of Praise is still a house pregnant with revelation because of the music and the worship within this church. It might as well be called ‘House of Worship Church’ for just one visit there and you’ll know that these people have gone far beyond praise and are deeply into the presence of God, and that, my friend, is not Praise, - it is Worship!

Religious Monitor has been monitoring the Synagogue Church of All Nations since 1993 when the organization came to Nigeria prominence up-to-date, the monitoring is still progressing and so far, we have found nothing unusual or unbiblical in the practice, doctrine, teaching and mode of worship of the Synagogue Church of All Nations. The life of the general overseer and founder of the Church (Pastor T. B. Joshua) is worthy of emulation. Our conclusion and verdict is that Pastor T. B. Joshua received his anointing through absolute righteousness and holliness, which many of Nigeria’s Pentecostal Church Pastors lack. Majority of today’s Pentecostal Church Pastors in Nigeria are Pastors of fortune seekers, morally bankrupt people, adulterers, mischievous, deceitful people as a result of which the Churches are personal estates and properties of the founder, general overseer and his immediate family. For example, Pastor Chris Okotie has been deserted by his wife who has alleged wide spread adultery with members of the congregation by Pastor Okotie. The wife is now filing for divorce. Similarly, Pastor Oritsajefor has divorced his first wife and now married to the wife of a member of the congregation. Such is the unholy practice of these Pastors. This situation has made it impossible for most of the new generation Nigerian

them, as; Was Redeemed Thesuch Glory On Christian Church of God (RCCG), (a.k.a HimLiving And Faith In Him Winners Chapel), Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries, Deeper Life Ministries, Love world Assemblies (a.k.a Christ embassy) and few others can be said to meet the standard expected in the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ. Pastor T. B. Joshua has been found to be very upright and righteous and has received the true anointing of the Holy Spirit. The arrival of the true Holy Spirit anointed Pastor into the Nigerian Christian Ministries has been kicking Satan left and right, and the kingdom of Satan has been badly damaged. The people fighting and accusing Pastor T. B. Joshua are in this category. They are the false and fortune seeker Pastors. Such as Chris Okotie and some of his fellow Pentecostal fellowship of Nigeria members. They are not actually fighting Pastor T. B. Joshua, they are fighting the happenings of holy spiritual hearings at the Synagogue. They are fighting the miracles of God happening at the Synagogue. The hearings and miracles taken place at the Synagogue can only be by the anointing of the Holy Spirit of God. This has challenged the kingdom of Satan in Nigeria and has threatened their survival and existence. The fellow Pastors threatened are the one fighting to protect their interest and survival. Unfortunately, it is too late for them. The influx of foreign missionaries, President of Nations and dignitaries from all over the world to the Synagogue is as a result of this true anointing. The hearings and miracles according to Pastor T. B. Joshua is not the work of his own hand but his father THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. The miracles and hearings are received free and all the thousands of various missionaries from all over the world on pilgrimage to Synagogue are accommodated free with feeding as no one pays for anything at the Synagogue. No endowment fund, no development fund, no special contribution and no extortion is allowed at the Synagogue as practised by other Pentecostal Churches through which the founders and general overseers enrich themselves. Finally, we recommend that your magazine arrange a visit to the Synagogue on an investigative mission and an interview with Pastor T. B. Joshua. We at religious monitor believe that Pastor T. B. Joshua is the gift of God to Nigeria, mankind and the whole world. Despite the tribulation similar to what our Lord Jesus suffered, the Pastor and the Church are waxing stronger and stronger.

HARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA: I remember the first time I came to the “Watch of the Lord”. It was a rainy night and the church was located in a group of warehouses located off Interstate 77. My fascination with this man of God began with the book he had written. As soon as I started reading “Watch of The Lord”, the Glory of God began to be imparted to me. I knew I had to get to know this man of God and ever since my meeting him, his ministry has been a high water mark in my life and the wife’s life. My wife, Vivian and I were scheduled to go to a conference on September 13, 2001. It was the week of 9/11 and an old friend, Chris Harvey, an Evangelist from Australia, was ministering at ‘The Watch’. The Glory of God was there as we heard Mahesh speak about the events of 9/11 and we witnessed two people come forward who were near the Twin Tower buildings on the day of the great tragedy. My wife Vivian and I were touched so deeply by Mahesh that after the meetings were over,

we drove over to the old PTL (Praise the Lord) buildings and claimed the land for Mahesh and his wife Bonnie for we knew God was going to use them greatly in Television Ministry. But at the entrance to the old PTL building our

At a later time, we were once again among friends at All Nations Church and the speakers for that night were Bobby Conner, Bill Johnson, and Bonnie and Mahesh Chavda. But the night that Mahesh spoke was an awesome night. We were honored to hear it and we present it to you as he spoke it at the Prophetic Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina. arena, I supernatually found them the first night when I didn’t have a place to stay. I asked them to ask the people they were staying with if I could also stay with them, even if I had to sleep on the floor. Since the seminar was to last for a week, my friends told me that they would ask. I went to the home with them and my friends introduced me to them as a friend from India who needs a place to stay and could he sleep on your couch or your floor. The lady of the house looked at me and told me I was going to sleep in their master bedroom and that she and her husband were going to sleep on the couch. I protested, that I would be happy to sleep on the couch, but she insisted that I would sleep in the master bedroom. So I agreed. So I go to sleep and suddenly, around three o’clock next morning , I am awakened by the most horrible loud noise, because it’s in the middle of the Vietnam War and we’re next door to Carswell Air Force Base in Ft. Worth, Texas. I hear the tremendous sound of B52’s taking off; the noise shakes the house, it shakes the room, it shakes the bed, and it continues for

an hour and a half as the planes take off, one after the other. I try to go back to sleep and finally wake up again around 7 or 7:30 and go down and see if I can find any coffee in the kitchen. The lady of the house, who is my hostess is standing there and tells me that she’s fixed some breakfast for me. I thanked her and let her know I didn’t expect anything, but when I turned around, the entire Texas table is filled with chicken, omelettes, fried eggs, chicken fried steak, gravy, bacon, sausage, ham, all kinds of pastries, breads, jams, jellies, fruit that I’ve seen and fruit that I have never seen before and then she tells me that this feast was for me. I sat down at the table and started eating. There was no one else there but me. I’m suspicious, so I ask myself “What is happening?” I ate what I could and went to the Gothad Seminar that night, came back to the house and went to bed. Once again, at 3:00 a.m. in the morning, the house shakes, the room shakes, the bed shakes, and when I wake up at 7:30 in the morning again, the lady of the house is standing there and tells me again that she’s fixed breakfast for me. I looked, and once again the whole table is filled, but now there is also a hutch area filled with more fruit and she tells me that she brought in some more food because she forgot to get ‘keebee’ yesterday. It was like an entire cafeteria for one person me - so I ate as much as I could, all the while becoming very suspicious. The third night, I am awakened the same way in the morning, also the same thing on the fourth day. On the fifth day, I go to bed and I am awakened by someone in my room. The room is golden, with shining beams of light. I have never seen such wondrous light; it was like living rainbows right there with the most wonderful bundled rays of illumination shooting from it. It was as

Then HE turned and smiled and said “I brought you to this house - it was not by accident”, and then he looked at me and His eyes were so full of love, compassion and victory and yet they were so tender and He said, “This woman’s husband has asked her for a divorce and she cried out to me and I have put healing in your hands for their marriage. As you speak the Word that will heal them, the marriage will be healed,” . Then He walked out. That morning when I went downstairs, there was the same old sumptious breakfast. I told the lady of the house that the Lord visited me last night and she told me that she already knew it. Then she told me that several days ago, her hus-

band had come to her and after 14 years of marriage told me he was leaving me because he had found another woman he wanted to be with. She told me she had no idea that her husband even had a friend who was his mistress and that he desired to leave his wife.. With a broken heart, she went into her prayer closet and cried to God. She told me that she had never cried out like that for God’d help and that for the first time in her life she heard the audible voice of God saying, “I will send my Prophet to your home and when he comes you are to treat him like you would treat me and he will have healing for your home. That’s why there was an amazing breakfast each day for her gift was a great talent for

cooking - and she was cooking for her friend, Jesus. I prayed for them and when I returned to that area 15 years later, I found out that God had truly healed her home. And as the Glory and the Lord gave the invitation, it wasn’t just for the sake of visitation he came to heal their house. The Lord is coming once again to his church and to every home; may it once again be the house of Obed Edom. Once again, The Remnant witnessed the full presence of God in a service. This was truly a grave responsibility for us to report and a visitation from God was in the story and in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was a great honor to hear this testimony, Glory!

Roger Hicks Funeral By Gayle Cameron Remnant Correspondent ARSHFIELD, MO -During the summer of 2000, though I’d heard of the revival at Calvary Baptist Church in Marshfield, Mo, I’d never been there or met their pastor. But when we heard that he and evangelist Wayne Neal were coming to Mt Vernon to do special services at ‘Pastor Neal’s’ former church, Church on the Loop, we got very excited! Word spread like wildfire! The Holy Ghost would be arriving in our town with power and might! We wouldn’t even have to make another trip to Pensacola! We were more than ready. And we were not disappointed. Pastor Roger Hicks became a friend during that time. Not only to me, but to many in our town. We had kindred spirits. Wanting all God had for us. Tearing down strongholds and denominational walls. Diving into, not wading, into the RIVER of God! When the services ended we began to drive the hour to Marshfield to attend services as often as we could. God met us there. So did Pastor Roger. He made each visitor to his church feel special and loved. After the services guests were invited to the hospitality room for snacks and Pastor Roger would be there in the middle of it all, sharing his love and the love of His God with all who cared to stay and talk. Our hunger for His presence was the common ground. Pastor Roger impacted my husband like no other pastor to this date. He was genuine. On Friday, August 6, 2004 I was once again at Calvary Baptist, now called Four Rivers

Word to Alabama Continued From page 4 Come and go with Me and see Alabama set me free.” This author was fasting and praying to seek a Word from the Lord in April 2004,. The Lord led the author straight-way to this Word from the Lord by leading the author to pick this tape up in a secondhand store she would ordinarily never go into but by the Holy Spirit’s prompting on that particular day. The Word is written as follows: “Let not My church say that she is weak for I have not created a weak church but I have founded a strong church based upon the Blood of My Son. I have called you forth for this hour and do not feel surprised or alarmed to have come upon this hour, for this is the hour that I have foretold you about. I have brought you, yeah, I have called you! And raised you up for this moment. Let not the church say that she is weak! For I the Lord

Church. Filled with shock and grief I was there to pay tribute and respect to my friend Roger Hicks who was electrocuted in a farm accident on August 2. I arrived an hour before service time and yet the parking lot was nearly full. The sanctuary had filled within 5 minutes of the doors opening at 8:30 AM so they were now seat-

ing in the (fellowship hall) Freedom Room. As I entered in, to the worship music playing, I looked up at the big screen showing the sanctuary. There lay Pastor Roger. In silence I took a deep breath and sighed. One by one they came until standing room only was left in the Freedom Room and the hallways. The service was a tribute to Pastor Roger Hicks - a Celebration of Life - and the great love that this man had for his family, both his personal and church family, his friends, his community and his God. Deep grief spilled out of the voices of those who gave testimony to God’s goodness to them, through the life of Roger Hicks. It was evidence of His peace that Thy God am God Almighty! And You are My people sayeth the Lord! Did not my prophets say in the last days that my people would do exploits? You are only weak because you say and believe you are weak. You have bought into the lie of the enemy! But I say unto thee, I the Lord Thy God have called thee to do great and mighty things and to go forth and to do exploits in My name.! I shall call men to give unto Thy bosom. There shall be no lack and there will be no need. For I the Lord thy God watch over My church. I the Lord thy God shall supply all thy needs according to My riches and glory by Christ Jesus. Look unto the Lord your God. Do not look unto man and do not look unto the circumstances surrounding you. Yes - the hour is dark, but beloved be not alarmed for you shall shine all the more brilliantly the darker it becomes....And know this My people, that I the Lord Thy God have called forth an Army of those that will pray and seek my face. I will equip you sayeth the Lord to do great and mighty things through

passes all understanding for how is it possible to know all IS well when your heart is breaking? Worship leader Jim Grove began with a story of how a short time earlier Pastor Roger had asked him to please learn this next song as he began to play ...”I will dance as David danced....” and relayed a story of how Pastor Roger was the biggest kid of all when the dancing began. Laughter rang though out the room. Yes, oh yes....In my mind’s eye, I could once again see Pastor Roger’s feet moving across the platform, his eyes shining, head thrown back and Glory on his face. And tears trickled down my cheeks. It was shared that Roger Hicks had great passion and compassion for people and it didn’t matter to him if they reciprocated or not. He just wanted to influence others to live for Jesus Christ because he had a great life he wanted to share it with others. It was told that He was selfless and had no ‘secret fishing holes’ because if he found one, he would always come back to take you to it, too! This was the kind of man that Roger Hicks was. He loved with all his heart, he worshiped with all his heart and he lived with all his heart! There was a video presentation that took you the gamut from Roger teaching a powerfully anointed and ironic message on tragedy, to scenes of Holy Laughter hopelessly wracking his body as he was trying to perform a baptism. Over and over and over again he tried and each time the laughter choked him up for what must have been five minutes while we in the room caught the laughter, too. Oh, my that felt good! Then on to a teaching on his fightprayer and through intercession. I, even now, am calling forth an army of prayer warriors that will undergird the work that I will do in these final hours. I am raising up the five-fold ministry of the gifts that I have given to the church. They will not be few in number sayeth the Lord but they will be great in number of every nation of every tribe and of every tongue and of every people upon the earth. Do not think and do not believe that I the Lord Thy God in these hours will lag behind and let the enemy go before and do great exploits. I the Lord Thy God have called forth a might army! A sleeping giant that shall arise in this hour and do great and might things! Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! And again I say Rejoice! A time of reflection on how Roger impacted each of us brought forth words of how death had visited the Hicks family this week and will, indeed, visit each of us. Were we ready? A salvation prayer was repeated and I am sure I am not the only one who feels there were many added into the Kingdom that day. This week in South West Missouri life has been difficult. We have lost one of our own. One of God’s finest in Roger Hicks. Though we know he is home, once again dancing like David danced and sitting at the right hand of our Father, it is hard. Please remember Sarah Hicks and their children in your prayers.

God has said ‘I am the Lord, I change not.” God is spirit, and spirit is changeless and ageless. My good friend, the late Father Dennis Bennet, put it this way, “We have sinned and grown old. Our father is younger than we.” It is a sobering thought to realize that the One who is called the Ancient of Days is actually younger than I am. The earth is running down; our sun is gradually running out of energy; all stored energy in the universe is runing down. In fact, all living

things in the created universe experience a life cycle or birth, growth and death. Yet God, the Creator of all, is continaully fresh, new, vibrant, and a source of life. According to the psalmist, He “will neighter slumber nor sleep”. Drinking Gourd Continued from Page 5 God as the prophet speaks the name of a King that will be the last good King of Judah: Josiah! Three Hundred years before this King is born, the Prophet traveled to Bethel from Jerusalem to speak these words to King Jeroboam and as the King heard the word, he put forth his hand ordering the Prophet to be ‘laid hold of’. But God dried up his hand so he could not pull it back! I have never been moved upon by God in such a strange way over a direction in scripture, until I heard him say “You are that prophet.” Because you have already published the word, you will now go and preach this word to Northern Virginia. There is a center of glory located in Leesburg, Virginia that is the Women’s Aglow led by a godly woman named Ruth Trumbo. As Ruth directs my steps and where I preach, I have found the open pockets of glory there among the dry bones of religion. The Jerusalem prophet was told not to eat or drink anything until he returned to Jerusalem. While he had control over the Spirtiual position of God toward Bethel, he had no personal self control over what God had told him for his own personal life. Obedience is obedience whether it is to a nation or to an individual. It is essential that a prophet follow in complete obedience. Prophets are not received by people very well at times. This time, a word was going to be preached in several places for full effect. It was in this same area last February, that God had directed me to preach on the

sodomites and now God wanted me to release a warning for what is about to take place in our country. It was strange that Josiah was called into existence by God, 300 years before he was born, but the birth of this King was a warning of what was about to happen well beyond his reign. Josiah’s reign would mark the last years of the Judean monarchy before the Isra-

Kings, you see the sruggle of the good Kings and the bad Kings of Israel and Judah. Jeroboam represents the beginning of the struggle between good and bad. Josiah would be the last good King in that struggle. My friends, we are in the struggle of the good and the bad kings. We are watching the parade of good and bad Presidents in our country. The struggle of the good

spirit-man rose up inside of me and said, “Jerrell, this is prejudice, these are religious people and you cannot see what is behind them. They will never allow him to succeed if it is in their power.” So my sermon on that Sunday morning in Purcellville, would lead me to speak about the prejudice of white Pentecostal organizations of America. My text centered around the freedoms that Amerians prize and about what they believe. I started to preach about the prejudice of Azusa, about how a humble oneeyed black preacher named James William Seymour was moved by the Spirit in Los Angeles, California and that every known work of modern day Pentecost can be traced to this initial move of God in California. But it still never changed the prejudice of the white man’s heart toward their black counterparts. The archives of this move of God are held in check by a large Pentecostal demonimation but the hypocracy of Pentecost is

I started to go into the prophetic prayer time and as each person came forward so did the most powerful anointing that I have ever felt come forward. As I layed my hands on one elderly lady a tick oil began to cover the top of both of my hands. Electricity was in the air as the glory came forward to touch and to heal. elites would be captured and taken into captivity. Even Josiah in II Kings 22: 16-19 receives a word about the impending destruction from the woman prophet. The woman speaks of Josiah and how God has heard his voice crying out, then she speaks of the destruction of Jerusalem because of its wickedness. She tells Josiah that he will not be a part of the judgement, but that this will happen in days to come. We live in a country that has had 300 years of freedom. Our country now stands at the door of it’s own judgement because it is going against the natural order of God. Marriage is now in the category of sodomy. An Anglican Bishop has defiled the Word of God and has become the first sodomite to sit in that seat as a bishop. Our U.S. upreme Court has legalized abortion to the tune of 60,000 innocent lives. The killing of babies in the mother’s womb and the unnatural act of sodomy has contradicted God’s blessing upon our once righteous America. When you read the Book of

kings and the bad kings of IsraelJudah is much like our struggle here in the United States. Although our country started out in the pursuit of Christian Religious Freedom, we now recognize every false God on the earth under the guise of Religious toleration. The government has forgotten that it was established on Judeo-Christian beliefs and the Bible. While in Purcellville, I went to speak at a black church on Sunday morning. It was the first of many black churches to come into Pentecost in the last 20 years. There are many Black Baptist Churches in the country that have surrendered to the move of the Spirit and are still waiting for their white counterparts to follow. But this, was a very special church. The last time I spoke at this church, was the morning before I flew from Ronald Reagan Airport in Washington to go to Lagos, Nigeria, where I witnessed T.B.Joshua pray for a Zulu Princess and saw God heal her after seven years of epilepsy. It was soon after that T.B.Joshua was attacked and my

that these archives speak the truth. Very often truth is spoken in areas of great hypocracy and when the scripture says, “Not by might, nor power, but by my Spirit saith the Lord, can we understand what is being said. Without the Spirit of God stirring, the Truth cannot be brought forth in power even if the Truth is a verified Truth. Today, there is a Black Pentecost and a White Pentecost. The message of Asuza Street was unity, but somehow, the fundamental ministers who returned home separated from their fundamental beliefs and denominations to start new works, but they never saw the need to end prejudice in the Church. While these brave new men were persecuted for the truth in their new Pentecostal Denominations, they never saw the need to remove the prejudice from the Church world. It is one of the great weaknesses of Pentecostal Revival that there is still prejudice in the church today. I was delivering hard and fast words to a small group of people who clearly understood what I was saying. When I moved

Page 11 into the prophetic prayer time, the most powerful annointing I have ever felt came upon me in that little church of black people. As I laid my hands on one elderly lady, a trickle of oil began to cover the tops of both of my hands. Electircity was in the air as the Gloy of God came forward to touch and to heal. Wow! Glory Be To God! My next stop for the day was the Purcellville Assembly of God Church where, once again, God was moving by His mighty power. A woman came forward during the prayer time and asked for prayer for her granddaughter who had leukemia. God’s Glory was so powerful that my hands were once again charged with electricity and she flew from my hands back five feet, and landed on the floor without a catcher, but it didn’t matter because you could see the full Glory of God reflected in her face. When she got up she said she had never been touched by the Holy Spirit in such a deep way. I had two more meetings after this on Monday and Tuesday where the power was in evidence once again, each time growing greater in its strength. I don’t usually write much about what I do on the road but the message that was brought forth was a bone-chilling warning to The United States of America to turn from its wicked ways. I was hearing from God and I want to share these experiences and situations with you. God will use anyone to speak, but the urgency of this message was brought forth in a season of time. I believe God is warning this country to make a choice right now! In this election year, we have seen the greatest issues ever to affect mankind brought forth to the church. What little we have said and done has been ridiculed in the secular press and has been looked on with hatred and venom by those who would cast freedom in an unholy light. But make no mistake about it, we are going to be held accountable. Every pulpit in America should be sounding this warning about the abortionists and the sodomites. Otherwise, how will they know the wrong they do without it being preached from the pulpit. Be in prayer for this election and the future of our great nation. In the bible, Egypt represents sin. The good King Josiah was killed in battle as he came against the Pharoah, King of Egypt!

Kingsport, Tennessee was spoken of by Rodney Howard-Browne as a place where great revival will happen. The people at Restoration Church in Downtown Kingsport are sensing the presence of God ever since the Fire on the Mountain Conference. God has been touching those who are seeking His face and the glory hasn’t gone away.

ERUSALEM, ISRAEL: Elizer Ben-Yehuda was a language scholar at the turn of the last century and it was he who would design a new Jewish language for the return of h i s people to their homeland after the Seco n d Wo r l d Wa r . Zephaniah 3:9 For then will I return to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve him with one consent. Ben-Yehuda was born in humble surroundings of Lituania on January 7, 1858 and his birth symbolized the return of the Jews to Palestine. The Prophet Zephaniah said that when the Jews returned to their own homeland, everyone would begin to speak in their mother tongue again. Around 1900, Ben-Yehuda received a vision from God insructing him to establish a dictionary of Hebrew words that would allow modern day Jewish people to study the

of the world, it has never happened that an ethnic group of people who have been scattered throughout the world for hundreds of years, could all come together and suddenly begin to speak in one Mother tongue. It was a sign from God. He prophesied that it would happen - and it has happened. Initially, upon arriving in Israel, Elizer Ben-Yehuda started by working on a newspaper, but he soon started his own newspaper that was published completely in Hebrew. Ben-Yehuda foresaw a Hebrew paper that would cover topics that would be of interest to all people living in their own land, and he included international as well as local topics, weather bulletins, fashion, etc. He used his paper “Hatzvi 1884” as a means of establishing new words that hitherto were missing from the Hebrew language, such as newspaper editor, telegram, subscriber, soldier and many, many other new words.

The Orthodox Jews, however, ridiculed and scandalized him so much that the new sixteen-volume dictionary was not published until 1922. language rules and established modern words such as airplane, fountain pen, automobile and locomotive. He formulated a dictionary that was sixteen volumes thick. But the Orthodox Jews ridiculed and scandalized him so badly that the new sixteenvolume dictionary was not published until 1922. Then when the nation was established in 1946, the new immigrants to Israel were taught the Hebrew language in schools etablished by the government. Even the Jews who came from Russia and Poland even though they had thick accents they all spoke Hebrew. Today, all the Israeli people speak their ancient language of Hebrew: in all the history
