Background: Why do we need short DAPT? High risk hemorrhagic patients, old patients (above 75 yo), atrial fibrillation, mechanic valve, pending surgery, kidney dysfunction... The CeloNova COBRA PzF™ Coronary Stent is a new stent design, balloon expandable cobalt chromium alloy coronary stent that is pre-mounted on a custom rapid exchange balloon delivery catheter. The alloy stent is surface treated with a nano-layer Polyzene®-F (PzF) [Poly-bis(trifluoroethoxy) phosphazene]. Polyzene-F is an inorganic polymer with a high molecular weight. In vitro and in vivo studies have indicated that the nano-layer surface treatment is nonthrombogenic and has antiinflammatory and pro-endothelialization properties that help to prevent tissue reactions. Conclusion: While non significant, there is a reduction of stent occlusion in the COBRA PzF group as compared with COBRA BMS group, with a complete and rapid reendothelialization at day 7 that compare favorably with previous and historical data on the same model. These data will serve as an impetus to perform clinical study with reduction of DAPT.
