Saturday, December 5, 2009 9:00 am~ 2:30 pm Hospitality ~ 9:00am Workshop #1 ~ 9:30 am ~ Men Are Like Waffles; Women Are Like Spaghetti! Lunch ~ 12:00 Noon Workshop #2 ~12:30 pm ~ Money Habitudes. The cost of the day is $20.00 per couple, $10.00 per person. This includes hospitality and lunch. Pre-registration is required by December 3rd. Registration forms are available in the narthex and in the Community Center. Childcare will be available on a first come, first served basis. Infants are welcome at the sessions. Guest Facilitators: Mary & Cecil Robinson Mary and Cecil Robinson have been married for forty-two years and they have one adult son and a daughter-in -law. They have been working in Family Ministry for thirty years. They have served in marriage preparation, marriage enrichment, parenting enrichment and faith formation throughout much of their married life. Mary has been serving as Director of Family & Adult Ministry at St. Joseph Church, Richardson, TX for the past ten years. Cecil continues to serve with her as a presenter in all of the ministries during his off-work time. They are experienced workshop/seminar presenters who bring stories of their own experiences of life, love and marriage to share with participants.
Workshop #1 – Men are Like Waffles; Women are Like Spaghetti – Understanding and Delighting In Your Differences. Men process life like waffles. They think and act by moving from box to box, size up the single problem, and formulate a solution. Women process like a plate of spaghetti. Each issue is like an individual noodle that touches every other noodle on the plate. They find it natural to multitask. This process provides a humorous opportunity to help couples achieve harmony in their marriages.
Workshop #2 – MONEY HABITUDES – Discover how your habits and attitudes about money support or sabotage your life, relationship, career and financial goals. Every person has patterns of habits and attitudes (habitudes) about money. Those habitudes automatically influence the decisions one makes. By using the Money Habitudes cards, one can identify his or her own dominant money habitudes to learn the way they impact spending, saving, investing, etc. Money Habitudes can also provide the opportunity to learn how one’s own habitudes balance or conflict with the money habitudes of your spouse.
