Sacred Heart’s Preparations Sacred Heart will handle the microphone, podium, food, chairs and tables set up. Sister Chris prefers chairs down the center. A few tables can be lined up around the perimeter in single rows for attendees who may need them. Approximately 140 chairs will be needed. *Note: * Food will be prepared by Sacred Heart on Saturday; however dinner Friday and Saturday’s breakfast will be on your own. Tell registrants. Friday: Time: 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. “The Amazing Women in My Life”: Participants are invited to bring a photo and/or a memento of one significant woman in her life. Friday night attendance is optional if you can’t stay overnight, but do come Saturday. We need a count of how many are coming Friday and a count of how many are attending Saturday. Saturday: Time: 8:30 a.m. (sign in) to 3:00 p.m. “Beloved of God” (main session) Confession (3:45 p.m.) and Mass (5:00 p.m.) attendance is optional. Give one to the checkers at the door for check in, and give the other one to Eleanor. Always keep a copy for yourself. Get bulletin announcements published in the bulletin each month: Submit October through February Place the main flyer insert in the bulletin by January. Ask priests to announce the retreat from the pulpit each month. Write the contact names and phone numbers of the deanery president and another council woman on the church bulletin announcements All deanery/affiliate councils are to do their best at recruiting individuals to start signing up and collecting donations early. The money and registration form is to be given to the Deanery President who will forward it to the SDCCW treasurer. Give reminder calls if necessary. Bring vans/and or bus loads. The Deanery President is to send the total amount of money collected along with all copies of the lists of people who paid and signed up to attend in preferably one or two checks as necessary to the diocesan treasurer.
