1- Writing -
A sentence expresses a complete thought. A declarative sentence makes a statement and ends with a full stop (.). An interrogative sentence asks a question and ends with a question mark (?) . An imperative sentence gives a command or makes a request and ends with a full stop (.). An exclamatory sentence shows excitement or strong feeeling and ends with an exclamation mark (!) .

3- Remember - We always start an English sentence with a capital letter. And a sentence always ends with a full stop. - When a sentence is long we can use other punctuation marks (,) (;) (:) We use the comma to separate three or more words in a series. Example: The weather forcasters predict sunny, cold, and breezy weather on Monday. - We use a comma after the name of a person being spoken to. Example: Jane, do you want to go skating on Saturday? - We use a comma after the words yes or no when they begin a sentence. Example: Yes, that’s a wonderful idea! - The (;) semi-colon is used to replace a conjunction or a linking word; there is no capital letter after it and the sentence continues.
Example: The youngsters went out to the streets, they burnt cars, they caused disorder ; they were taken to preson. - The (:) colon is used to enumerate several items and is followed with small letters. Example: He bought several fruits: oranges, apples…
