Playgirl Editor Pens Job-Inspired Comedy DIRTY GIRL January 4 - 27 at The Kraine Theater
Horse Trade and Firecracker Productions and present the World Premiere of DIRTY GIRL, a new comedy beginning previews January 4th at The Kraine Theater. Based on the real-life experience of playwright Ronnie Koenig (who was the editorin-chief of Playgirl Magazine from 2000-2002), the production is directed by Robert W. McMaster. Opening night is scheduled for January 6th. Meet Dori Richter, a nice Jewish girl from Long Island whose life changes when she answers an ad in the newspaper seeking a "writer/editor who must be comfortable with male nudity." DIRTY GIRL takes audiences on a wild, comedic ride from the offices of the fictional Loverboy magazine to steamy photo shoot locales as it tells the story of Dori's quest to find a woman who is actually turned on by the images in her magazine. Following a sold-out one night stand at Ars Nova, DIRTY GIRL has developed from a one-woman show called Centerfold into a multimedia extravaganza. The production stars Corrie Beula, Bridget Harvey, Ronnie Koenig, Michael Littner and Jesse Teeters with costumes by Krista Thomas and designed by Edward Hodge. The show is sponsored by Secrets in Lace.
