You might be interested to know that Chinese in their wisdom created signatures years of the Rabbit representing the elements earth, fire, wood, water and metal. Sport Matters was born in the year of Metal Rabbit. There has been only two Metal Rabbit Years in 1951 and 2011. The Metal Rabbit’s motto is ‘Let there be peace – and let it begin with me.’ Apparently that gives us Rabbits more strength, resilience and determination and we like having that on our side! 9. Who am I? I was born on the 23 September in 1930 in Albany, Georgia in the USA. My mother died when I was 15 and shortly afterwards I picked up a love for heroin. When I was 16 I moved to Seattle and met Quincy Jones who became a life-long friend. My early influences in music resembled my heroes Charles Brown and Nat King Cole. I later created my own distinctive sound and became a pioneer of soul music during the 1950s. Although I have many children I am often referred to as the father of soul.
