You might be interested to know that Chinese in their wisdom created signatures years of the Rabbit representing the elements earth, fire, wood, water and metal. Sport Matters was born in the year of Metal Rabbit. There has been only two Metal Rabbit Years in 1951 and 2011. Who am I? I was born on the 23 September in 1930 in Albany, Georgia in the USA. My mother died when I was 15 and shortly afterwards I picked up a love for heroin. When I was 16 I moved to Seattle and met Quincy Jones who became a life-long friend. My early influences in music resembled my heroes Charles Brown and Nat King Cole. I later created my own distinctive sound and became a pioneer of soul music during the 1950s. Although I have many children I am often referred to as the father of soul. I passed away in 2004 leaving behind a musical career spanning nearly six decades. 1/ Some of my ground-breaking hits were ‘Georgia on my mind’, ‘Hit the road jack’ and ‘Unchain my heart’. 2/ I went blind due to glaucoma at aged seven and was considered one of the greatest artists of all time. 3/ There was a major motion picture base on my life made within the last five years.
