SPORTS BETTING AS A NEW SOCIAL PHENOMENON IN REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA Anastasovski Ivan1, Nanev Lazar2 Faculty of physical education, sport and healthy – Skopje 1 State University – Stip2 In this research we want to find some different between gambling and sport betting. Gambling is the waring of money or something of material value (referred to as "the stakes") on an vent with an uncertain outcome with the primary intent of winning additional money and/or material goods. Gambling thus requires three elements be present: consideration, chance and prize. Typically, the outcome of the wager is evident within a short period. Sports betting is the activity of predicting sports results and placing a wager on the outcome. It is generally considered to be a form of gambling. The sports betting in the Republic of Macedonia for the first time appear in 1999 year. In 2013 there are over 200 sports betting with the approval of Ministry of Finance. Interest in sports betting every year is growing and also growing significantly and the number of gamblers, 40 percent of the population of Macedonia is a “betting", which raises this phenomenal occurrence in the country at the level of euphoria. Sports betting term as a general activity of predicting sports results by placing a bet on some sports event. In countries with higher standards, mainly sports betting invest a certain currency in their favorite clubs for matches to be viewed with greater fervor. Fun is the most common reason that economically powerful countries people are betting. Here are the reasons diametrically opposite, ie the ability to gain or poor social-economic status and poor standards of living is the main reason why they bet massively. It is generally considered to be a form of gambling”. Therefore we tried to empirically to clarify these terms and about this we asked our citizens who are active "sports gamblers" today. Short history resume about sports betting in Republic of Macedonia The sports betting in the country for the first time appear in 1999. In 2013 there are over 200 sports betting with the approval of Ministry of Finance. Interest in sports betting every year is growing and also growing significantly and the number of gamblers, 40 percent of the population of Macedonia "is betting" (official data of CPRM)1 that raises this phenomenal occurrence in the country at of euphoria. Today you can meet the following definition “term sports betting as a "general activity of predicting sports results by placing a bet on some sports events. The difference between sports betting popularly called "betting" and other games of chance in the illusion of what is likely to gain. Methods of analysis In this research we ask 45 people (December 2013 – January 2014), who is gambling trough questionnaire with 11 variables, all of him is a man and they from different city but all of him betting in Macedonian big sports betting “Zlatna kopacka”. Data processing is performed in contingency tables based on the values as well as testing their differences. We crossed by one variable estimates about residential status (in horizontal lines), numerically at frequencies (f) and percentage (%), and the variables that define residency status (in columns - vertical), also at frequencies (f) and percentage (%). Analysis was performed on the statistical package SPSS 17.0 for Windows. 1

On the table and graph no 2 you must see you the educational level of our betting people and you see clearly that people with high education 44,4 percent is more of other. On the table and graph no. 3 you must see percent of people who is betting and his monthly incomes, more of them is between 5 000 and 10 000 national money (denars), or 44,4 percent.

On this table and graph you must see one of answer of important variable, our people who is batting most of him says that they is same but have same deference between sports betting and gambling 46,7 percent of him. This data tell as that we are on the good direction to fine this maybe smаll but important different.

Discussion In our country the reasons for betting is a diametrically opposite, the ability to gain or poor socio-economic status and poor standards of living is the main reason why they bet massively. In this research we are have the clear result more of 40 percent of citizens in Republic of Macedonia is betting. The sports betting in the country is witnessing a "transitional poetics of misery." People how is a "Betting" is a citizens of all ethnic groups Macedonians, Albanians, Serbs, Turks, Roma, and population with less educated, people with more educated, and those with smaller with larger incomes, those staff and unemployed, but all of them thing same and 46,7 percent that sports betting and gambling maybe is a same but between has a some difference. In our work, we think that a sport betting has a too kind of economic effects: positively and negatively. a) Positively effect: Increasing jobs in sports betting; Growth and development segment of the business sector,; Investments in infrastructure (the "betting houses"); Increase of material goods, and b) Negatively effect: Increase a bad situation in sport generally with the betting; Psychological impact of our family; The deterioration of the family budget; Acquisition of the envy of betting.

Conclusion and Recommendations In Republic of Macedonia phenomenon betting in sports “betting houses” is widespread. In fact, the typical profile of a player in sports betting a citizen who is threatened category, young man, poorly educated people with lowest incomes. The right of the individual to bet a legitimate state and the same shall not be affected. But the state has a legitimate interest to protect the interests of all citizens, including the interests of the rest of the family. Since it is evident that many in Macedonia neglect family for betting, the state and civil society can help through a variety of measures recommended by the Center. Least the state can assume a continuous monitoring and reporting on the situation in this sphere of life. The monitoring system would help with that would create a kind of data base that would be available to the public and which would be used for taking measures or policies. Additionally, you can influence through campaigns to raise awareness (public awareness campaigns), the educational system, information programs, and specialized institutions (Agency of Youth and Sports).
