Oregon State Park Day-use Pass

Oregon Pacific Coast Passport

Honored at 16 coastal day-use fee areas operated by OPRD, U.S. Forest Service (USFS), National Park Service (NPS), and Bureau of Land Management (BLM). See list of areas at end of document.

Long-term passes valid for 12 or 24 months from the last day of the month issued.

Walk-in: Selected private vendors and major OPRD offices. For an online list, go to www.oregonstateparks.org, then on “Dayuse Passes,” and link to “find out where to buy day-use passes.”

* $25 if purchased during annual December sale.

Northwest Forest Pass

Honored at many USFS day-use sites, such as trailheads, picnic areas, boat launches and some visitor centers in Oregon and Washington.

Honored at USFS, NPS, BLM and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) trailheads, picnic areas, boat launches and some visitor centers where entry or day-use fees are charged.

Sold as hang tag that is honored at:  26 Oregon state parks charging a dayuse fee;  23 Washington state parks charging launch or trailer dump fees;  6 Army Corps of Engineers sites charging day-use fees.

HOW TO ACQUIRE

Free. Must be displayed in vehicle. Good for the lifetime of holder, plus others noted in benefits for Golden Age Passport.

Must be obtained in person. Holder must submit a signed statement from a licensed physician, plus federal and state documents verifying disability. Can be obtained at most USFS offices.

Free, after an individual accumulates 500 hours of volunteer time over an unspecified time. Pass (one per 500 hours of service) is valid for 12 months from the month of issuance. Hours accrued prior to January 1, 2007 do not count toward qualifying for a pass.

Oregon Sno-Park Permit

Parking permit required Nov. 15-Apr. 30 at cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling areas identified as WINTER RECREATION AREAS. Most areas are in national forests.
