Students of Agriculture Faculty had ceremony to commemorate Hari Sumpah Pemuda To commemorate Sumpah Pemuda (Youth Pledge) which falls annually on October 28, the Students Executive Board of UB held a ceremony. The simple activity which was organized in the front road of FP-UB was followed by several students of FP and the ceremony inspector was also a student from FP. This ceremony was a symbolic of Sumpah Pemuda activities at that time, where the youth from all over Indonesia such as Jong Java, Jong Sumatra, Jong Kalimantan and Jong Celebes gathered together for unity. Delivered by Ahmad Herliyasto, who acted as inspector of ceremony, this event regularly held every year with most participants were the activists who were the members of student organizations such as BEM, Faculty Autonomous Institute (LOF), Student Activity Unit (SME), Association of Student Programs. Also some students who do not actively in organization, according to this Minister of Social Politics Affairs BEM FP-UB, also solemnly followed the ceremony.Asked about the phenomenon of the youth today, student of Agribusiness’s 2008 observes the rampant euphoria that has swept a generation that is often said to be agents of change.
