Fig. S2. Intracellular proliferation of Salmonella strains. Growth attenuation of Salmonella mutant strain HH107 was restored to WT-levels by complementation with p3711 encoding SseF2TEV-2M45. The amount of intracellular colony forming units (CFU) in macrophage-like RAW264.7 cells was determined at 2 h and 16 h p.i. The x-fold replication was calculated as CFU ratio (16 h vs. 2 h) with the WT normalized to 100%. Means and standard deviation of three independent assays are shown. Statistical analysis was performed by one-way ANOVA with Bonferroni adjustment and indicated as follows: n.s., not significant; *, P < 0.05; **, P < 0.01.
