When getting ready to perform a fitting, you will need to create a new customer account or select a customer who has already been entered. To perform a fitting using a customer who has previously been entered into the system, follow the following steps: Selecting Existing Golfer Accounts: 1. Type the first few letters from the golfer’s first or last name and select Find Existing Golfer Account. 2. Select desired customer from the list of available customers

Adding New Customer Accounts: 1. Click Create New Golfer Account 2. Enter as much information as possible about the new customer. While some of this information may not seem important at the time, much of this information may be valuable to you later. 5. Enter all the green (required) fields before proceeding. 6. Swing Labs requires a unique identification to distinguish between two or more customers with the same first and last name. An email address is a unique variable since no two people can have the same email address. Therefore, you must enter and confirm an email address. This is also important for sending Fitting Reports to your customers. In the event a customer does not have an email address, use your company’s email. Click Create Account. 7. Once the system provides confirmation that the new customer account has been successfully created, it will advance you to the Control Club identification screen.

Selecting a Control Club

Selecting a Control Club A Control Club is a club that Swing Labs knows the performance profile, including launch and spin characteristics, from robotic and/or player testing. Whether you selected an existing golfer or created a new golfer account, the software will now ask you whether you want to use existing Session data that you may have collected with FlightScope previously and want to use Swing Labs analyze, or if you want to Start a new fitting. Only the equipment with “stock” configurations and specifications may be used as a Control Club. When you select a viable Control Club, a green box will surround that club choice. If a club is not a viable Control Club, you will not be able to select it even though you may see it listed. If you select a Control Club from a previous FlightScope session, you will not need to re-hit shots with this club as the software will utilize its previous shot data. When starting a New fitting, you will need to identify the Make, Model, Loft, Shaft, and Flex of the Control Club you would like your customer to begin with. The new dynamic equipment menus enable the rapid selection of equipment. These menus automatically advance to the next equipment specification variable when you select a previous option, and they provide intelligence by only showing the options available per manufacturer instead of the fitter having to search through hundreds of possible choices to find the one he/she is looking for. You can always go back if you want to change the specifications simply by clicking the Back button. This is different than the Previous Button which takes you back to the previous screen rather than only changing equipment specifications.

Selecting a Control Club Continued

Once you have defined the Control Club, you will also define the Control Ball used. Be sure to use the same Make and Model of Ball through the entire fitting so as to eliminate variables affecting shot performance. At this time you may also indicate any performance preferences the golfer has Select the most important criteria for the golfer - Distance/ Accuracy and shaft feel Stiffer/Softer. If you indicate No Preference, Swing Labs will decide for you based upon the launch data provided by FlightScope.

Capturing Shots

Capturing Shots Again, once you have created the customer profile, selected the Control Club and Control Ball, you are now ready to begin capturing shots. Swing Labs will show you an image of the Control Club the golfer is about to hit. Each time you take a swing, the data captured by FlightScope is collected and displayed as the shots are taken. Simply select the check boxes of all representative shots you want Swing Labs to analyze. Swing Labs recommends 3-5 representative shots per club. The fitter should look for any anomalous data such as 0 backspin or 20,000 rpms, or 0 Clubhead speed. Occasionally something can interfere with the Doppler picking up the ball and those shots should be removed from analysis by un-checking the appropriate box in the row of bad data. Views In FlightScope Remember, if you would like to view the various FlightScope screens such as ball flight, overhead view, profile view, or data table, etc., simply tpuch the arrow keys on the keyboard or mouse click over the arrow buttons on the bottom of each side of the screen. You can navigate back to the Swing Labs’ page to resume your fitting at any time.

Analysis, Recommendations, & Reports

Analysis Summary The “Driver Analysis Summary” screen shows the average of Control Club swing data and the optimal values for the golfer. It shows the golfer’s Actual data compared to the Optimals, and the differential between them. One of Swing Lab’s primary goals is narrowing the gap between the Actual and Optimal differential by optimizing equipment selection. Recommended Clubs The recommended clubs are the best stock clubs based on the optimal data and the equipment performance profiles. The best matching clubs are ranked according to their performance criteria. Proximity matches may be shown if insufficient Best Matches are returned based upon the inventory your site administrator allows. *By default, all recommendations are not limited to what is in inventory until you set your inventory and change this setting. This can only be done on your Swing Labs main site accessed through a web browser. For assistance modifying your store inventory, please see the section on store inventory. The recommended clubs are the best choices based upon performance test data. Again, Swing Labs’ goal is to help recommend equipment that will help make up the difference between the golfer’s Actual and Optimal shot data by selecting clubs with various performance characteristics. Club Overrides You may decide not to select from the best order due to what is currently available in your inventory at the time of the fitting or due to player preferences toward one brand. Stars indicate what is designated as “In Inventory”. A Swing Labs rating score is shown at the far right. You can also override and choose a different club for the golfer to hit other

than what was recommended for analysis. Overrides can be selected if your customer had one or more particular clubs he/she wanted to hit in addition to the Control Club used, but were not recommended by Swing Labs. At a minimum, Swing Labs will objectively assess the performance of each club hit, even if the fitter does not choose to take advantage of Swing Labs recommendations. To select a club Override, select the check box next to the Override row you want to enable, then indicate Make, Model, Loft, Shaft Model and Flex. You may select 1 to 3 comparison clubs to compare against the Control club. They may be a combination of recommended and override clubs, all recommended clubs, or all overrides. A check box must be selected before that club will be selected as a comparison club. Click “Next” once you have made your selections for Comparison Clubs.

12 |  Swing Labs 12

Stock Club Report The Stock Club Recommendation Report is then generated from the control club data, and the top 1-3 Comparison Clubs selected by the fitter for the golfer to hit. A summary of the clubs and their characteristics are listed below. This page will accompany the final report at the end of the fitting. Comparison Club Data By selecting Next, the fitter will then see a picture of the first comparison club for the golfer to hit. In the same fashion as the Control Club, each shot will see data streamed into the screen as the golfer hits shots. Again, the fitter should be looking for 3-5 representative shots from the golfer if possible, making sure to look for any anomalous data. If the fitter sees any questionable data, de-select it from the check box in the same row as the bad data. Once you have captured representative shots with each of the comparison clubs, you are ready to analyze the results to find the best stock club. Click Next when done.

13

Best Club Report 1. The Best Club Report shows which of the 4 clubs (Control Club versus 1, 2, or 3 Stock Comparison Clubs) performed best for the user. The analysis is 100% objective based on valuable launch data provided by FlightScope, and gives no preference of one manufacturer over another. The information is returned in a easy-to-read format showing how each clubs ranks relative to one another for this user. 2. The objective is to obtain as many BEST or WITHIN RANGE ratings for each launch parameter as possible. The results are shown below as an average for each club in a number of different parameters. Swing Labs provides its analysis of all the clubs and displays the overall best performing club in each of these categories. 3. **Note –In cases of ties or close performing clubs, the fitter can override Swing Labs selection of the Best Performing club by selecting the open circle in the column of the desired Best Club. The report will then show the modified selection. The next step involving Equipment Optimization with custom shaft upgrades will then use the data from the modified Best Club selection. 4. Each major parameter (Total Distance, Carry Distance, Ball Speed, Launch Angle, Backspin) are displayed on the left side along with sub categories such as: Hi/Low, Average, Standard Deviation etc. Swing Labs displays the ranking 1-4th place for each major parameter. 5. Pay close attention to the Direction/Deviation parameter. This is particularly important for iron fitting as it shows horizontal dispersion of shots as well as distance control. A club that travels the farthest is not always the best performing club and depends upon accuracy. If the

customer’s preference in the beginning of the fitting was for distance, Deviation will have less of an effect on the final recommendation. Whichever club is selected in the Best Club Report, whether the fitter chose to override Swing Labs’ recommendation or whether Swing Labs’ recommendation is used, that is the club performance data that the shaft analysis will be based upon in the next screen.

14 | Swing Labs

Review Shaft Analysis 1. Shafts are profiled based upon their physical properties, performance characteristics and manufacturers specifications. The Shaft Analysis screen shows:

 The key factors which influenced the selection of the after-market shafts for this customer, based on how the BEST CLUB performed compared to the OPTIMALS for that person.

 The returned shafts are additionally sorted based on customer preferences for distance, accuracy, and or feel.

 The returned clubs will be based upon your store INVENTORY and STORE SETTINGS, and will be the best matches to help OPTIMIZE the performance of the BEST club.

2. Flex will be determined based upon the Best Performing Stock Club. Optimization with a shaft upgrade may include:

o Modifications to shaft Weight

o Modifications to shaft Kick-Point

o Modifications to shaft Torque

3. The score for each shaft is shown visually to the right of the listing. As the fitter, you can select 1, 2 or 3 shafts for the Shaft Upgrade report. The 3 shafts can be selected from the returned recommendations or from one or more override shafts. Click “Next” to go to the final step. Shaft Upgrade Report 1. The Shaft Upgrade report takes the selected shafts and generates a report with the specific details for each of the shafts. Ball Recommendation 1. Swing Labs provides a golf ball recommendation with a complete driver fitting based upon your driver performance.

Control Club Shot Data If you select a Control Club from a previous FlightScope session, you will not need to re-hit shots with this club as the software will utilize its previous shot data. However, if you want to add new shot data to this Control Club for analysis, you may have the golfer make new swings with this club. *NOTE - never hit another club other than the EXACT specifications as what is listed as the club in the Session or you will contaminate the data and Swing Labs will not be able to make reliable recommendations. Control Ball and Player Preferences Identify the Control ball that was used during the Session. If you add shots to the Session file, you must use the same model of golf ball or the session data will be contaminated. Identify whether you want Swing Labs to optimize recommendations for Distance or Control/Accuracy and whether the golfer prefers a Softer/Stiffer feeling shaft or if they have No Preference. Selecting Comparison Clubs The next screen will be the Analysis Screen where Swing Labs will display the Control Club performance versus the optimal data for the golfer. The main goal is to close the gap between the Actual performance average and the Optimals by finding the best matching club specifications. You may select from recommended clubs in the Recommended Clubs List or you may use the slider bar to find other SESSION CLUBS at the bottom of the list. You may also select Override clubs where you define a comparison club for them to hit that was not recommended or an available Session club. You may only select 1-3 clubs for comparison by checking the boxes of the clubs in that row. Click NEXT when finished.

Stock Club Report Swing Labs will display the Stock Club Report which shows the Control Club and Comparison Clubs. Click NEXT. Comparison Club Data If you selected up to 3 Comparison Clubs from previous Sessions, you will not need to re-hit shots. However, you may hit additional shots with the same exact club if desired. Each club will be displayed in order along with their shot data. Click NEXT. Best Club Report The Best Club Report will highlight the objective performance of each of the clubs analyzed. Each major category of Distance, Accuracy, Launch, Spin, etc. will have a performance ranking 1-4 for each club based upon how it performed and proximity to the optimums. If two clubs are very close or appear to be tied where the difference is negligible, or if the fitter disagrees with Swing Labs, he/she can Override the Best Club Recommendation by selecting one of the open radial buttons. Click next when finished.
