His joyful and charming personality is always enjoyed by our staff and our members. Matt goes above and beyond by always filling in whenever he is needed.. Even if it means dressing up for Oktoberfest. We can’t thank him enough for his joyful spirit and his efforts in helping us run the Club. A Note From The Board Of Directors
Anvil Club Members, The Board of Directors of The Anvil Club is pleased to announce that it has reached an “agreement in principle” with OTTO Engineering to purchase The Anvil Club to continue the nearly 60 years of tradition of fine dining in the historic Blacksmith's shop, in East Dundee. The Club was founded in 1956 by 10 local businessmen, all of whom lived in the surrounding communities. The ownership passed on to their families who have guided The Club into the 21st century; now it is most fitting that the traditions be carried on by yet another longstanding businessman who lives in the area and is dedicated to the same fine standards and commitment of preserving the unique building which dates from 1872. Significant changes have already begun which include remodeling of the Veranda, new roofing, windows and siding, menu enhancement and improved member communications. In the next few months The Anvil Club will be reaching out to those in the community to encourage them to experience the traditions of our club. We will remain open during renovations and we encourage you to stop by and see what’s new. This change in ownership will not affect your membership in any way. The new investment in the Anvil Club will improve the facilities yet continue the warmth, charm and exceptional service. Please stay tuned for more updates.
