The Trocadero Wurlitzer Trust NEWS - OCTOBER 2013
Progress Continues at the Troxy Whilst some of the team continue to complete installation of the organ in the Main chambers, other tasks have been tackled. One rather unpleasant job was to clear the decades of accumulated debris from a space under the stage, ready to accommodate the small blower needed to drive the console stop-key and combination piston action. Also, in mid-October specialist contractors using diamond drilling equipment were employed to cut a hole through a wall for the Solo organ main wind feed trunking.
Solo Organ Installation Plans The wind trunks, regulators and ground frame for the Upper Solo and Lower Solo regulator assemblies are ready for installation, followed by the framing for the Solo off-note chests located at the back of the chamber. This work will be completed by a professional team lead by Les Ross, who has already completed work on the Main organ, and whose experience includes the building and installation of a number of organs of international renown.

A short video presentation narrated by our chairman Simon Gledhill was prepared and shown at this event. It outlines the history of the organ and the work involved with its installation in the Troxy. You can view the presentation via the Troxy website at: http://www.troxy.co.uk/troxy_history/ the-troxy-wurlitzer/
