The DSS represents a "simulator" displaying a pedagogical situation from a ... to manage the continuation of the situation that he just has observed/analysed.
TO UNDERSTAND AND ADAPT THIS DSS DSS is a Decision Support System (to help people to make decisions about problems). Build a DSS requires 3 parts: Expert – Application – Knowledges. Students are considered as Expert in their favourite Sport, so they will bring their Knowledges. The Application is provided, but Students must understand then manage/adapt this Application which is an MS-Excel application (Fig. 1).

The DSS represents a "simulator" displaying a pedagogical situation from a video sequence (Pupils or students in activity - Sportsmen in activity - Disabled participants in activity). The user observes/analyses a video sequence, then takes a decision to manage the continuation of the situation that he just has observed/analysed. The user of the DSS must select some information on what is going on inside the video sequences. He is helped to select these information through a framework (grid) of observable behaviours. These observable behaviours are classified through different criteria and 4 levels (beginner; advanced; proficient; highlevel) in the application. When the user selects a behaviour, the DSS affects a value corresponding to the level and displays a chart. After a video sequence has been observed/analysed, the DSS evaluates: - If all observable behaviours are selected (C11) - If the observation is coherent: i.e. if the selected observable behaviours are of comparable levels (B29) If these two conditions are filled, the DSS allows to simulate a continuation of the situation. Clicking on the orange button, the user will reach following situations which are hidden sheets in MS-Excel (Fig. 2) and will read: - How "to adapt" the situation (if the pupils/sportsmen/disabled participants are considered as not realizing the situation) - How "to improve" the situation (if the pupils/sportsmen/disabled participants are considered as well realizing the situation). Students must adapt/change what contain these hidden sheets. Materials to adapt and build your own DSS:

- A framework (grid) of observable behaviours and 4 sets of pedagogical situations (one set per level). - Students must learn how to transfer: • Their framework in MS-Excel. • Their pedagogical situations in specific sheet and how to hide the sheets. They can add pictures or video sequences in each sheet.

- Three video sequences concerning one sport and the same area to analyse behaviours. There are two principal plans in this application: The plan of the creation of the application in which it is necessary to gather elements concerning: - The knowledges of the activity that appear in the videos sequences. - Training/learning theories. The plan of the formation: - The user "learns" by simulation how it is possible to improve pupils/sportsmen/disabled participants' behaviours.
