It's  time  for  another  awesome  year  at  All-­‐Star  Revolution!       Level  Placement   Teams  and  schedules  for  2013-­‐2014  are  listed  below.  Keep  in  mind;  athletes  will  be  continually   evaluated  to  ensure  they  are  placed  on  the  correct  team.  So  if  your  athlete  is  trying  to  get  to   level  3  but  wasn’t  able  to  throw  consistent  back  tucks  without  a  spot  in  her  tryout,  class  or   privates,  she  has  the  opportunity  to  move  up  BASED  ON  AVAILABILITY  if  she  attains  that  skill  in   the  next  few  months  (before  choreography  camp  –  dates  to  be  released  by  June  1st).  The   same  thing  applies  for  athletes  who  may  STOP  throwing  the  necessary  skills.  For  example,  if  a   strong  back  tuck  was  thrown  in  tryouts  but  the  athlete  refuses  to  throw  it  in  practice,  she  will   be  moved  to  a  level  2  team.       Our  teams  are  not  set  in  stone  right  now…teams  could  stay  large,  they  could  split,  they  could   change  divisions,  etc.  This  is  a  great  starting  point  and  we  will  continue  to  evaluate  what’s  best   for  the  program  and  your  athlete(s)  over  the  next  few  months.  If  you  have  questions  or   concerns  about  placement,  please  contact  me  at  edgar@all-­‐starrevolution.com.       All  practices  begin  NEXT  WEEK,  the  week  of  May  6th.  All  coaches  will  be  announced  during  the   first  practice.  Athletes  can  wear  any  practice  attire  for  the  first  few  months...until  official   practice  wear  arrives  and  is  distributed.  Athletes  will  practice  once  a  week  (at  the  times  listed   below)  during  the  summer  and  will  add  a  weekend  practice  sometime  late  summer.         You  should  be  getting  your  May  statement  shortly.  You’ll  get  a  statement  on  the  1st  of  each   month  if  you  have  a  balance.  All  balances  will  be  due  in  full  by  the  6th  of  each  month.  If  you   bring  in  cash  or  check  by  the  5th,  your  card  on  file  will  not  be  charged.  If  you  prefer  to  have  the   card  on  file  charged,  you  do  not  need  to  do  anything  –  it  will  automatically  draft  on  the  6th  if   there  is  any  balance  on  the  account.       All-­‐Stars  in  Training  (Mon  5-­‐7pm)   If  you  registered  for  or  were  placed  on  All-­‐Stars  in  training,  the  class  will  remain  on  Mondays   from  5-­‐7pm.  Athletes  will  be  split  into  age  groups  within  that  time  slot  as  needed.  Level  1  and   2  competitive  athletes  are  welcome  to  add  this  class  for  a  discounted  rate  of  $75  monthly  (in   addition  to  regular  team  tuition)  to  increase  all-­‐around  cheer  skills.       Tumbling  Classes   Tumbling  classes  will  be  offered  year-­‐round  for  competitive  ASR  athletes  and/or  non-­‐ASR   members.  Classes  are  once  a  week  for  an  hour  and  a  half  and  are  organized  based  on  USASF   skill  level  –  PLEASE  SEE  CHART  BELOW.  To  register  for  tumbling,  you  can  visit  www.All-­‐ StarRevolution.com  and  log  into  the  parent  portal  (see  online  login  details  below),  email   heather@all-­‐starrevolution.com  or  call  the  gym  at  281-­‐741-­‐3762.  Tumbling  classes  begin  next   week,  the  week  of  May  6,  2013.      

The  cost  is  $75  per  month  per  athlete.  No  sibling  discounts  or  proration  will  be  given  for   tumbling  classes.  No  make-­‐up  classes  will  be  offered.  All  ASR  holiday  dates  and  gym  closures   will  apply  to  tumbling  classes.  The  $75  monthly  rate  is  based  on  a  4-­‐week  month,  so  there  are   months  where  athletes  will  have  5  practices  and  others  where  athletes  may  have  only  3,  but   the  rate  remains  $75  per  month  and  will  not  be  prorated  regardless  of  start  date.  Athletes   with  an  unpaid  balance  will  have  to  sit  out  of  the  class  until  the  account  is  clear.       If  you  come  to  try  the  class,  that  class  date  will  count  as  your  official  start  date.  Upon  returning   to  the  class,  you  will  be  responsible  for  payment  for  that  ENTIRE  MONTH.  It  is  therefore   recommended  that  you  start  at  the  beginning  of  the  month.  You  will  be  responsible  for  paying   for  any  missed  classes.  The  2013-­‐2014  Registration  form,  Rules  and  Regulations  form  and   Credit  Card  Authorization  form  are  required  for  participants  who  are  not  on  an  ASR  team  and   can  be  found  online  at  www.All-­‐StarRevolution.com.  Non-­‐ASR  members  will  be  required  to   pay  the  $55  registration  fee  for  the  2013-­‐2014  season  upon  registration.       You  can  enroll  in  a  tumbling  class  for  1  month  or  12  months  or  anywhere  in  between.  You   simply  need  to  notify  heather@all-­‐starrevolution.com  or  ruthie@all-­‐starrevolution.com  by  the   15th  of  the  month  to  avoid  being  charged  the  next  month’s  tuition.  If  you  do  not  send  notice,   you  will  be  responsible  for  the  next  month’s  tuition,  regardless  of  attendance.  So  for  example,   if  you  notify  us  via  email  by  August  15th  that  you  do  not  want  to  continue  in  tumbling,  you  will   not  be  charged  for  September.  You  can  always  re-­‐enroll  at  anytime.     Tumbling  class  schedule:     Class   Level  1  (all  ages)

ASR offers stretch classes for flyers or any athlete interested in increasing flexibility and working on body positions. The primary focus of this class is achieving proper, more flexible body positions for flyers. All athletes who enroll will have access to three 45 minute classes each week – Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:15-6pm (this schedule is accurate through April 2014.) Whether you attend one or all three of these classes each week, the cost is $75 per month. Classes begin May 6th and all athletes age 6 and up are welcome. Stretch classes will be offered year-round for competitive ASR athletes and/or non-ASR members. To register for stretch class you can request enrollment via the parent portal, email [email protected] or call the gym at 281-741-3762. The cost again is $75 per month per athlete. No sibling discounts or proration will be given for stretch classes. No make-up classes will be offered. All ASR holiday dates and gym closures will apply to stretch classes. The $75 monthly rate is based on a 4-week month, so even though the number of classes per month may vary, the rate remains $75 per month and will not be prorated regardless of start date. A 2013-2014 Registration form, Rules and Regulations form and Credit Card Authorization form are required for participants who are not already on a 2013-2014 ASR team and can be found online at www.All-StarRevolution.com. Non-ASR members will be required to pay the $55 registration fee for the 2013-2014 season upon enrolling in this class if applicable. The registration fee is good through April 2014. The stretch class tuition fee will post to your ASR account on the first of each month (in addition to other fees and tuition if applicable) and you’ll be emailed a statement to review. If you’d like to pay by cash or check, please bring it in by the 5th of the month. There is a drop box in the navy gym or you can bring it by the office (Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 2:30pm) or you can turn it in at the front desk in the navy gym (Monday – Thursday 5:30 – 9pm). Otherwise the card on file will be charged on the 6th. If you prefer to use the credit card, you don’t need to do anything and it will automatically draft on the 6th. If you prefer to NOT use a credit card, it will never be charged as long as another form of payment is received by the 5th. You can enroll in the stretch class for 1 month or 6 months or anywhere in between. If you want to withdrawal from the class at anytime, you simply need to notify [email protected] or [email protected] by the 15th of the month to avoid being charged the next month’s tuition. If you do not send notice, you will be responsible for the next month’s tuition, regardless of attendance. Stunt Class – NEW THIS SEASON! (Mon, Wed, Thurs 6-7pm) In stunt class, flyers will work with experienced coaches and athletes to execute skills and body positions in the air. So there will always be instructors and/or stunt groups to put you up at each class! All athletes who enroll in stunt class have access to three classes per week – Monday,

Wednesday and Thursday from 6-7pm (this schedule is accurate through April 2014.) Whether you attend one or all three of these classes each week, the cost is $75 per month. Classes begin May 6th and all athletes age 6 and up are welcome. ***Flyers who want to maximize potential and enroll in BOTH the stretch and stunt classes will pay a discounted rate of $125 monthly tuition for the two combined.*** All procedures and policies listed above for tumbling and/or stretch class will also apply to stunt class. See above for registration info, drop policy, etc.  

  There  will  be  NO  TUMBLING  CLASSES  OR  STRETCH  CLASSES  OR  STUNT  CLASSES  on  the   following  ASR  closure  dates:

  Open  Gym     Starting  Friday,  May  10th  6:30-­‐8:30pm,  ASR  will  be  offering  open  gym  weekly.  The  best  part  is   that  Friday,  May  10th  is  FREE  for  everyone  who  comes!       •   Ages  6  and  up  welcome   •   Cost  $15  CASH  ONLY  per  class  for  all  participants  (except  FREE  admission  on  May  10th!)   •   Every  Friday  from  6:30  –  8:30pm   •   Enter  through  Navy  Gym   •   All  participants  need  a  2013-­‐2014  registration  form  on  file     •   All  levels  welcome  –  there  will  be  coaches  present  for  levels  1-­‐5     This  is  a  perfect,  affordable  way  to  get  in  an  extra  workout  in  a  fun  environment.  Athletes  will   tumble,  jump  and  condition  in  every  open  gym  class.    Just  show  up  if  you  are  interested  –  no   need  to  call  ahead  or  register  in  advance!       Parent  Portal  Online  Account  Access   ALL  of  you  have  automatically  been  set  up  with  an  account  at  ASR  that  is  accessible  online   through  our  parent  portal  link.  Through  this  online  account  access  you  can  make  payments,   view  transactions,  enroll  in  tumbling  classes  or  summer  camps  and  more.  Here  are  the  steps  to   access  your  ASR  account  online:   ·∙                  Go  to  the  website  (www.all-­‐starrevolution.com)  and  click  on  the  words  that  say  “Sign  in   to  Our  Parent  Portal.”  (The  link  is  right  under  the  pictures  at  the  top  of  the  home  page.)  When   you  click  on  that  PARENT  PORTAL  link,  it  will  open  a  new  page  in  your  browser.   ·∙                  Click  on  the  link  at  the  top  of  the  page  that  says  “log  in.”   ·∙                  Enter  the  primary  parent  email  address  you  submitted  on  your  ASR  registration  form.  

·∙                  Your  default  password  is  your  address  street  number….so  if  you  live  at  1234  Main  St  then   1234  is  your  password.  You  can  change  your  password  at  anytime.   ·∙                  The  first  time  you  log  in,  you’ll  be  asked  to  agree  to  terms  of  use.   That  should  log  you  in  and  direct  you  to  the  home  page  for  your  ASR  account.  On  the  left  there   is  a  tab  for  payments…if  you  click  there,  you  can  pay  towards  any  balance  on  the  account.  It   won’t  let  you  pay  if  there  is  not  a  balance,  however.  All  charges  post  on  the  1st  of  the  month  in   which  they  are  due.  If  you  enroll  in  tumbling  classes  online,  it  will  send  us  your  request  and  we   will  respond  with  approval  so  you  can  make  a  payment  toward  the  class.       If  you  are  having  trouble  logging  in,  please  email  heather@all-­‐starrevolution.com  or   ruthie@all-­‐starrevolution.com  and  we  can  verify  your  login  email  address  and  password.         Meeting  and  Season  Kick-­‐off  MAY  4TH   There  will  be  a  required  parent/athlete  meeting  from  1  –  2pm  this  Saturday,  May  4th  at  the   All-­‐Star  Revolution  facility.  At  this  meeting,  we  will  let  you  know  exactly  what  can  be  expected   for  the  2013-­‐2014  season.  THERE  WILL  ALSO  BE  NEW  INFO  AND  EXPECTATIONS  FOR   RETURNING  ASR  MEMBERS.  Immediately  following  this  mandatory  meeting,  there  will  be  a   season  kick-­‐off  celebration  from  2  –  4pm.  Athletes,  family  and  friends  are  invited  to  celebrate   the  beginning  of  another  successful  season  at  ASR!     For  the  kick-­‐off  celebration  this  Saturday,  Steve  and  Misty  Berry  will  be  graciously  providing   hot  dogs  and  condiments  for  all!  ASR  will  provide  plates  and  napkins.  If  you’re  willing  and  able,   we’d  love  assistance  with  some  additional  side  items.  :)  In  an  effort  to  avoid  too  much  of  any   one  item,  please  bring  the  following  if  you’re  interested  in  helping:     Mini  and  Show  team  athletes  (ages  8  and  below):  finger  food  dessert   Youth  athletes  (ages  9-­‐11):  finger  food  appetizers   Junior  athletes  (ages  12-­‐14):  drinks  –  water,  sodas  or  juice  boxes   Senior  athletes  (ages  15  and  up):  chips     Of  course,  if  you’re  dying  to  bring  a  dessert  and  your  athlete  isn’t  on  a  mini  team,  go  for  it!...or   an  appetizer  or  drinks/water  –  we  appreciate  whatever  you’re  able  to  bring  to  share.  The   above  is  simply  a  suggestion  to  make  sure  we  get  a  good  variety.  :)     We  are  also  in  need  of  a  few  extra  ice  chests  –  if  you  have  a  large  one  that  you  don’t  mind   bringing  with  you  to  hold  drinks,  we  would  really  appreciate  it.  Can’t  wait  to  celebrate  the  new   season  with  all  of  you!     2013-­‐2014  Teams   Infantry  (Thurs  6-­‐7pm  CIRCUS  GYM)   1.  Paige  Arie   2.  Jordyn  Barrera
