UCAP UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL ASIA & PAKISTAN Government of Pakistan (GOP) is establishing a “World Class” comprehensive research intensive "University of Central Asia and Pakistan” (UCAP) in Islamabad with a public-private partnership. The primary purpose of the university is to focus on creation and dissemination of knowledge while promoting regional connectivity initiatives of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) countries. The GOP has allocated the initial funding for the university. The university shall operate independently under the Central Asia and Pakistan (CAP) Foundation and plans to start operation initially with the “School of Business and Leadership.” The university is dedicated to provide high quality programs for human resource development and advance discovery of innovative knowledge of public value to the regional countries. Also, the university plans to launch programs in Social Sciences, Humanities, Liberal Arts, Law, Sciences and Engineering in phases.

Vice-President (Academics) & Project Director Monthly Salary: Up to US$ 15,000 or Rupees 1,590,000 Plus Benefits and Negotiable The university invites applications and nominations for the position of a founding Vice-President (Academics) and Project Director. The university is searching for a highly motivated visionary academic leader with a proven record of top tier scholarship and suitable professional experience of strategic planning, building partnerships in an international setting and leading academic operations. The university is looking for an academic leader with on earned doctorate from a leading university and a distinguished record of academic excellence at a university of national or international repute. Moreover, the person must possess entrepreneurial spirit and managerial experience regarding all aspects of university operations including strategic planning, business operations, development of infrastructure for academic programs, selection and retention of faculty and staff for institutional development and student services. Vice-President (Academics) and Project Director, reporting to international Board of Trustees, will provide academic leadership and administrative direction in the development and initiation of policies and procedures, and organizational structure.

Dean, School of Business & Leadership Monthly Salary: Up to US$ 15,000 or Rupees 1,590,000 Plus Benefits The university invites applications and nominations for the position of a founding Dean of the School of Business & Leadership. The university is seeking a highly motivated visionary academic leader with an earned doctorate from a leading university and a proven record of top tier scholarship at the rank of an Associate Professor or above at a leading national or international business school. A prior administrative experience is desirable. The Dean must possess the capacity to provide a vision and direction of the school, recruit and retain top tier faculty, support the highest standards of scholarship, build innovative curriculum, and deliver state-of-the-art teaching. Moreover, the Dean shall lead the efforts to recruit top quality students from Pakistan and the region, develop national and international linkages, build corporate and community support, and raise funds.

Faculty Appointments (Tenure and/or Tenure Track) The university invites applications and nominations for the faculty positions in all areas of business administration. A minimum of Ph.D. (or Ph.D. equivalent) and demonstrated potential for high quality research and teaching is required for all positions.

Open (Assistant, Associate and Full Processor). Assistant Professor: Up to US$ 5,000 or Rupees 530,000); Associate Professor: Up to US$ 10,000 or Rupees 1,060,000); and Full Processor: Up to US$ 13,000 or Rupees 1,378,000). Entrepreneurship, leadership, management, accounting, economics, finance, marketing, management sciences, operations management, organizational behavior and human resources management.

Appointment at the rank of a Full Professor requires demonstrated credentials of a recognized scholar at the regional level, minimum of ten (10) years of post-PhD teaching and research experience in a leading national or international university and/or research institute, and fifteen (15) publications including five (5) papers in the last five years, eight (8) ISI Indexed papers (inclusive of at least four (4) impactful papers in the areas of specialization in top-tier-journals).

Also, an appointment at the rank of an Associate Professor requires a clear indication of developing into a recognized scholar at the regional level, minimum of five (5) years of post-PhD teaching and research experience in a leading national or international university and/or research institute, and four (4) ISI Indexed papers (inclusive of at least two (2) impactful papers in areas of specialization in top-tier-journals). Likewise, an appointment at the rank of an Assistant Professor prefers a clear promise of developing into a recognized scholar at the regional level, some teaching and research experience in a leading national or international university and/or research institute, and a minimum of two (2) complete working papers with a potential for publication (or published) impactful papers in areas of specialization in top-tier-journals. Candidates in the final stages of completion of their dissertation and fulfilling the requirements may apply, as well. Salary and terms of employment shall be comparable to the top universities in the region. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled.
