My favorite British holiday is Bonfire Night. British people celebrate it on November 5th. In towns and villages, and all around the country, there are big bonfires and lots of beautiful fireworks.

8. Which kind of fireworks does the writer like the most?

Before the day arrives, we make a model of a man called a “Guy.” We use newspaper and straw, and dress the Guy in old clothes. Then we take him into the street, and nice neighbors give us money to buy fireworks. On Bonfire Night, we put the Guy on top of the bonfire and burn him. Poor Guy! It’s spectacular.
