SHERIFF CONDUCTS AUCTION FOR SALE OF UNCLAIMED, SURPLUS AND FORFEITED VEHICLES

Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil, will conduct a public auction on Saturday, October 12, 2013, to dispose of twenty (20) vehicles, all of which have been declared forfeited or abandoned. The auction will be conducted at the Hamilton County Sheriff's Patrol Headquarters, 11021 Hamilton Avenue, in northern Hamilton County (approximately one block south of I-275 on Hamilton Avenue). The vehicles to be auctioned range in vintage from 1982 to 2011 models inclusive of numerous domestic and foreign manufacturers, and include sedans, pick-up trucks, SUVs, and motorcycles. The auction will start at 9:00 AM sharp. Vehicles may be viewed from 8:45 AM to 9:00 AM on the date of the Auction. A complete list of the vehicles being offered at auction, and auction rules, are available at .HCSO.org and are attached for your convenience. Bidder numbers are required for all persons desiring to bid on any vehicle. Bidder registration will start at 8:15am; attendees should arrive in sufficient time prior to the auction starting time of 9:00am to register and receive a bidder number. Terms of sale are: cash or personal check (with proper identification) at time of sale; all vehicles sold "as is", with no guarantee as to condition; vehicles must be moved from premises immediately following the sale; all sales are final. Parking is available in the Board Of Education parking lot on Civic Center Drive off Hamilton Avenue. Please do not park in private business lots on Hamilton Avenue - cars may be towed from those locations.

All bidders must register and receive a bidder’s number. If you intend to pay by check, you must display your Ohio or other state driver’s license or other U.S. photo ID, provide your Social Security Number, your home address and telephone number. Please have this information available when you register. Please make sure you obtain a new list of vehicles for sale at this auction when you register as it may contain information not provided on the HCSO.org internet or other sources.



The only acceptable methods of payment are: cash, personal or company check. Third party, payroll checks and credit cards are not acceptable methods of payment. Anyone that issues a check on a closed account or on an account with insufficient funds will be prosecuted.



Any minimum bid will be announced before bidding starts on that item. Any item may be pulled from the auction by the Sheriff’s Office before or during the auction.



Checks should be made payable to: HAMILTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE - Today’s date is October 12, 2013.



ALL SALES ARE FINAL. If you made the final bid, you have bought the item. If you leave without paying, you will be identified and the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office will initiate legal action to obtain the amount of your bid from you. DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO PAY IN CASH OR BY CHECK AT THE CONCLUSION OF THIS AUCTION.



ALL VEHICLES AND OTHER ITEMS ARE SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS. There are no warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, as to the working condition of any item sold at this auction. Do not bid unless you understand and accept this condition. Seller has no background history on the prior use or possible misuse of any item listed, and the future utility of the item is neither known nor guaranteed. Buyer waives any expressed or implied warranty of any current or future fitness for a particular purpose or merchantability. Announcements made on day of sale will take precedence over pervious announcements or advertising. A vehicle with a salvage title cannot be legally operated on the roadway until the tile is converted to a rebuilt salvage title. Please see Ohio Highway Patrol publication OHP 1187 for additional information. Contact the Ohio Highway Patrol for inspection and title conversion costs. Most vehicles sold at this auction should have the tires replaced and will need a new battery. The Sheriff’s Office mechanics will assist with jump starting the vehicle a maximum of two (2) times.



VEHICLES AND OTHER ITEMS ARE NOT RETURNABLE FOR ANY REASON – ALL SALES ARE FINAL



WINNING BIDDERS MUST REMOVE THEIR VEHICLE OR OTHER ITEM AT THE CONCLUSION OF TODAY’S AUCTION. FOR SAFETY REASONS VEHICLES MAY NOT BE REMOVED UNTIL THE LAST AUCTION ITEM IS SOLD. VEHICLES OR ITEMS NOT REMOVED ONE (1) HOUR AFTER THE LAST AUCTION ITEM IS SOLD WILL NEED TO BE REMOVED BETWEEN 8 AM AND 3 PM, MONDAY-FRIDAY (EXCLUDING HOLIDAYS) THE WEEK FOLLOWING THE AUCTION DATE.



YOU MAY PAY IMMEDIATELY FOR YOUR VEHICLE OR ITEM AFTER YOUR WINNING BID IS ACCEPTED – YOU DO NOT NEED TO WAIT FOR THE AUCTION TO END TO PAY.

PARKING FOR THIS EVENT IS PROVIDED IN THE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES PARKING LOT ON CIVIC CENTER DRIVE. IF YOU ARE PARKED IN A PRIVATE BUSINESS PARKING LOT ON HAMILTON AVENUE, PLEASE MOVE YOUR VEHICLE AS IT MAY BE TOWED. HANDICAP PARKING MAY BE AVALABLE IN THE REAR PARKING LOT OF THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE.
