Conclusions: This case series of severe clinical rickets once again demonstrates that this almost forgotten disease is still common in specific contexts. Efforts into more effective and feasible prevention during pregnancy and early childhood as well as timely diagnosis and effective treatment regimens for these populations are still not well-documented and underutilized.
