Welcome to River Park Church!

Church Family

Welcome to worship and fellowship. Following the service, please join us in the gym for refreshments. Nursery (ages 2 & under) is at the south end of the foyer. Sunday School (ages 3 - gr. 4) meets on the lower level. Jacob’s Ladder (gr. 5 & 6) will be dismissed during the service.

A thank you from the Youth group to everyone who signed up to be a prayer partner for the youth.

If you have difficulty hearing, you can get a hearing device at the sound booth. Prayer partners are available after the service. The Lord’s Supper will be celebrated at two stations in the front of the sanctuary.

2. The Council Elder position for Children and Student Ministries remains open after Jolanda D. had to resign due to family commitments. Council has several candidates in mind and wishes this position to be filled quickly. 3. Pastor Harrison highlighted the Inter Cultural Ministry in the September Council meeting. River Park is blessed by the ICM and we are looking forward to embracing new cultures and traditions that come with it! Sharing meals, Taekwondo class and the ESL class are all great ways to get involved! 4. Council received feedback about recent ratification votes. On the ballot members were asked to provide contact information if they chose to mark “No” for a particular candidate. The intent of this is to ensure that all objections have been properly assessed to ensure there is no reason why the candidate should not be installed as a leader in the church. Council will review this process at the next ratification and work to communicate the process more effectively with the congregation. 5. Classis Alberta South is being held Oct 25 in Burdett Alberta. Pastor George Vink, Pastor Harrison Cho and John K., as well as Riky G. will represent our church. Pastor Harrison will highlight the activities from our Inter Cultural Ministry at Classis. 6. River Park Church Visitation: Pastor Ed Jager and an Elder will conduct a church visit for RPC. Pastor Jager will encourage and help RPC connect into the CRC. The purpose is mutual accountability and assistance. Church visitors are called on behalf of Classis to listen, encourage, and provide advice. If anyone in the congregation has any items that they would like brought up with the Visitors, please contact John K., Sid D., Pastor George or Dan V.
