STARS OF MTV’S THE HILLS JOIN TACO BELL® FOR A “REALITY CHECK” ON GLOBAL HUNGER Reality TV stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt Join Taco Bell to help raise awareness in support of World Hunger Relief Movement and The World Food Programme

Irvine, Calif., September 25, 2008 – In an effort to raise awareness of global hunger, Taco Bell is again joining forces with Speidi—Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt of MTV’s hit reality show The Hills. The couple will host the World Hunger “Reality Check Challenge” event for the second straight year. On October 2, Heidi and Spencer will serve up Taco Bell fare to customers visiting the Taco Bell® restaurant and invite customers to join in the effort to help alleviate world hunger by making a donation. The campaign is part of a larger global hunger-relief campaign by Taco Bell’s parent company, Yum! Brands Inc., to raise funds for The World Food Programme. Last year, Taco Bell and Yum Restaurants raised more than $16 million globally. “It’s time for a reality check with world hunger. Nearly one billion people go to bed hungry every night, and with the cost of food skyrocketing around the globe, more people are struggling to get a meal,” said Greg Creed, president, Taco Bell Corp. “Heidi and Spencer have graciously helped with our inaugural program and we are fortunate to have them championing this cause for a second year. We are grateful and appreciate their efforts volunteering to feed those in need and helping raise awareness of the global hunger crisis.” “Reality Check Challenge” 2008 will be held at the Los Angeles-area Taco Bell restaurant located at 1604 La Brea Avenue between the hours of 11:00am and 2:00pm. World Hunger giving Cards are available at all participating Taco Bell locations nationwide. Donations for the cards begin at $1 and all proceeds raised in the U.S. go directly to The World Food Programme to help combat global hunger. Prior to the October 2 event, Heidi and Spencer joined Taco Bell last week at Los Angeles’s Union Rescue Mission to serve food to the hungry and homeless in the “Skid Row” area of downtown. During this visit, the couple spent three hours helping feed hundreds of men, women and children stricken by the effects of hunger. At the conclusion of the visit, a $15,000 donation was made by Taco Bell to the mission in Heidi and Spencer’s name. “Taco Bell approached us with this hunger reality check last year and asked if we could participate,” said Spencer Pratt. Over the past year, we have become more involved and educated on the hunger issue. We’re honored to be included again in the fight against hunger.” About Taco Bell Corp. Taco Bell Corp.
