Gym offers ladies a free way to cope with stress of military absences By DAVE DEMAREST

A local ladies gym owner is trying to help area soldiers’ wives and daughters cope with the stress of having their loved ones are overseas. Nancy Petrozelli, owner of Lake Norman Lady of America in the Consumer Square plaza in Mooresville, is offering free workouts to the women for the duration of their husbands’ or dads’ deployments. “They can get buff while their babes are gone,” she said. Also, any female recruits

can work out for free. Petrozelli, who took over the gym in November, said she heard of other gyms across the country offering free workouts and thought ‘Why not?’ “I feel bad for these women,” she said. “(Working out) can be a stress reliever.” The gym offers a variety of aerobics classes, tanning beds, sauna, and cardio and Nautilus machines. It also has a free babysitting service while you work out. “We really care about these women,” Petrozelli said. “It’s really about improving their lives.”

For outstanding balances on your new line of credit the rate of interest during the first six months following closing will be calculated at the discounted rate of Prime minus 1.76% (currently 3.99%). After six months your APR will revert to a standard APR of Prime + 0 for the remaining life of the line. This standard APR is based on the Prime Rate as published on the first business day of the month in the Eastern Edition of the Wall Street Journal (currently 5.75% as of 4/1/05). BB&T’s standard Tax Advantage Credit Line APRs typically range from 5.75% to 8.25%. The standard APR you receive in establishing your account will be based upon, but not limited to, your credit history, available equity, debt-to-income, and line amount, and will not exceed 25% or the maximum permitted by law. The advertised APR of Prime + 0 assumes a minimum line size of $25,000 (not to exceed 80% the value of the collateral) and an excellent credit history. Credit approval is required. Offer available on new lines of credit only. Other rates and terms available. Consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of interest. Adequate homeowner’s insurance is required. Flood hazard insurance may be required. Offer ends August 12, 2005.
