Wilder Math Curse! For the next 5 days, you are going to keep track of some of the ways that YOU use math in the real world! These examples can be how you actually “use” math, like making change at the grocery store, OR how you “see” math in the real world, such as examples of geometry in the classroom. You can also use different “estimating” skills using math. For example, it takes me 8 minutes to walk to school and 8 minutes to walk home. If I’m in school 180 days, how many minutes is that altogether?!?!?! Think about the book Mr. Goldner read today in class and how YOU can use math or how you can SEE math in everything you do! Please keep track of your “math ideas” for the next 5 days…Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday…and then bring your “Math Curse” to school on Monday! Make sure you come up with some strong, fifth grade examples! Also make sure your writing is legible and in paragraph from…you will probably have at least one paragraph for each day, if not more! All Math Curses are due on Monday, January 9th!
