DOWLOADING AND INSTALLING PEUGEOT ALERT ZONE ONTO

Prerequisites

WIP Nav + / Connect Nav + 0. Prerequisites 1. A vehicle equipped with a WIP Nav +/ Connect Nav + navigation system 2. Access to website http://peugeot.navigation.com 3. Automatic installation using the Install Wizard requires a Mac or a PC, administrator access to install Adobe Flash and Adobe Air (see the configuration required)

4. A PDF viewer is required to view the installation manual (included with the operating system or standalone).

5. A USB flash drive (empty and preferably formatted as FAT32/MBR) in order to transfer Peugeot Alert Zone files to the vehicle’s WIP Nav +/ Connect Nav + navigation system, with the engine running.

Procedure to buy, download and automatically install Peugeot Alert Zone files onto the USB flash drive (RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE) An alternative procedure is available for advanced users, see the appendix How to buy a Peugeot Alert Zone file from website http://peugeot.navigation.com

1. Browse to website http://peugeot.navigation.com/ 2. Choose your vehicle using the selector

3. Add a Peugeot Alert Zone product, identified by the following icon, to your basket

4. Finalise your purchase by following the instructions 5. On the purchase confirmation page, click on “Download installation wizard”, a pop-up window will open.

Important: if you have already installed and used the Peugeot Alert Zone wizard, proceed directly to step 11

6. In the pop-up window, click “Install now” 7. The Flash badge below will be displayed:

If the above badge is not displayed, this means that the Adobe Flash software is not installed on your computer or that the installed version is too old. Please click on the link displayed and follow the instructions. You will need to restart your browser.

8. Click on “Install Now” 9. You must install Adobe Air software. Click “Yes” on the next screen:

10. You must install the Peugeot Alert Zone wizard on your computer. Click “Install” on the next screen, then continue through successive screens, and finally “I agree”

13. The wizard will launch, follow the instructions on screen to download and automatically install the Peugeot Alert Zone files onto your USB flash drive

WIP Nav + / Connect Nav + 2. Installation onto the navigation system Disconnect and remove the USB flash drive from your computer.

Plug the USB flash drive into the navigation system port designed for this purpose.

 The navigation system will automatically detect the inserted media.

Confirm that you wish the update to start by clicking “Yes”.

 The update takes place automatically.

When the update has finished, a message notifies you that the Peugeot Alert Zones have been added to the Europe cartography on the navigation system’s hard drive. Remove the USB flash drive from the navigation system

3. Configuring the navigation system

To configure the audible and visual alerts when approaching high-risk areas (Peugeot Alert Zone) Press the Nav button on the console. Select:

When approaching high-risk areas, you can choose from the following alerts:  visual

  

audible with advance warning configurable between 15 and 45 seconds during guidance only, in other words when navigation towards a destination is active. only when speeding, in the case of a speed camera warning (in countries where this function is permitted)

Alert with guidance: In countries where radar information is permitted, when guiding you, the system is able to select only those fixed speed cameras that are on your route.

 You are notified of the permitted speed limit.

Should you exceed the permitted speed limit, the circle around the speed limit sign flashes red. For other types of high-risk area, display is the same in guided and non-guided mode Alert without guidance: Without guidance (no destination), the navigation system warns you of the presence of Peugeot Alert Zones * in the area near the vehicle.

WIP Nav + / Connect Nav + APPENDIX: Procedure to buy, download and manually install Peugeot Alert Zone files onto the USB flash drive (advanced users only) 1. On the purchase confirmation page, click on the link to download the file manually 2. Plug the USB flash drive into your computer 3. Unzip the contents to the root folder of the USB flash drive, overwriting any existing Peugeot Alert Zone files

4. The root folder of the USB flash drive must contain the following files: MAPPE (with all subfolders) UPG  POI_VER.  POI
