Two new synonymies and lectotype designation in Trachyderini (Insecta: Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) MARCELA L. MONNÉ 1,2, JUAN PABLO BOTERO1 & HINGRID Y. The subfamily Cerambycinae includes, at present 716 genera and 3889 species in the Neotropical region (Monné & Bezark, 2009). Trachyderini Dupont, 1836, one of the largest tribes of Cerambycinae, is widely distributed in the Americas, especially in the Neotropics where 441 species belonging to 133 genera are recorded, about 11% of the diversity of the subfamily (Monné & Bezark, 2009; Eya, 2010). The study of the Trachyderini material of the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle, Paris, France, helps us propose two new synonymies in Trachyderini and designate lectotype and paralectotype for Uragus hamaticollis GuérinMéneville, 1844. In light of the recent publication of the Catalogue of the Cerambycidae (Coleoptera) of the Neotropical Region. Part I (Monné, 2005), references for each taxon are limited to the original description and the catalogue. Abbreviations cited in the text: MNHN MNRJ

Distribution: Venezuela and Brazil. The original description of the genera and examination of the holotype photo of the Elaterosoma longissimum Tippmann, 1953 (Lingafelter et al., 2010) and specimens of the MNRJ and MNHN collections allow us to propose the new synonymy.

We examined the holotype photo of Neotaphos rachelis (Lingafelter et al., 2010), the two syntypes of Vianauragus hamaticollis deposited in MNHN, the original description of the genera and specimens of the MNRJ and MNHN collections. Both genera are monotypic and there are no characters to maintain Vianauragus as a different genus of Neotaphos.

Neotaphos hamaticollis (Guérin-Méneville, 1844) new combination Uragus hamaticollis Guérin-Méneville, 1844: 231. Vianauragus hamaticollis; Monné, 2006: 179.

Distribution: Argentina. During the study of the Trachyderine type material of the MNHN we found two specimens of Uragus hamaticollis Guérin-Méneville, 1844, with no holotype selected. In order to promote nomenclatural stability, a lectotype and paralectotype are designated for the name Neotaphos hamaticollis (Guérin-Méneville, 1844). Type material: Lectotype 1 female (Figures 1, 2) (present designation): “Hamaticollis / Guer. Ic. Type. / Patagon a ”, “Uragus / hamaticollis / (type) Guer. / Icon. R. a. / Patagonia”, “Ex. Musaeo / Minisech” “Type”, “Museum Paris/Coll. J. Thomson/1952” and “LECTOTYPE Neotaphos hamaticollis (Guérin-Méneville) des. M. L. Monné 2010” (MNHN). Paralectotype: 1 female: “Uragus / hamaticollis Guer. / Icon. R. a. / (type) / Patagonia”, “Ex. Musaeo/ Minisech” “Type”, “Museum Paris/Coll. J. Thomson/1952” and “PARALECTOTYPE Neotaphos hamaticollis (Guérin-Méneville) des. M. L. Monné 2010” (MNHN).
